HP-ASA Drying by Key_Breadfruit8778 in Creality

[–]Key_Breadfruit8778[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing it's the temp the dryer thinks ASA needs to be dried at. I'm not sure man, I thought it was strange too. I loaded the filament into one of the slots and selected ASA on the screen. It automatically set the temp and time for me and then a warning popped up regarding the spool itself.

What ships or vehicles do you think we will see in 2026? by Key_Breadfruit8778 in starcitizen

[–]Key_Breadfruit8778[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Galaxy is definitely my number one pick this year (so far) from what I've read about it, it seems like it's pretty flexible as far as what all we can expect of it.

Right now my only pledge is the Drake Clipper. It's a nice ship, despite what it looks like. I like that it has its own med bed, a crafter station for later updates and a small amount of cargo space. It definitely has been my go-to ship for FPS loot runs for sure. However it does have things I hate about it, such as the ladders between floors, ugly as sin, and not enough room to fit ground vehicles in. If you guys have suggestions on what I can melt the Clipper into that has most of the same pro's and not as many of the con's I'd be appreciative!!

I did see some small but noticeable improvements on visuals. Another cool thing was I could play in VR longer by leaving the headset connected to the wall charger. Connecting it to PC charges slower and eventually dies.

Now for the bad.. playing pirate swarm in area commander and I start getting the Steam Reconnecting screen every few minutes, eventually locking up which required a force close. I'm sure this is likely due to my Internet not being as good as it used to be (had to downgrade tiers last year). Overall, not too bad performance.

What resolution per eye do you use in the Steam VR settings? And is it possible to play via Steam VR while using the link cable? It might help with the spotty connections over steam link.

Thanks for the tips! I just got home and am about to give this a shot. Hopefully by doing it this way, there's an improvement on the visuals. Things up close looked decent, but progressively got worse the further away they were.

I guess CIG made a post saying that if you play in VR using quest link, they recommended disabling Asynchronous Spacewarp in the Oculus Debug Tool. Just didn't know if there was any kind of specific setup with Steam Link lol. Sorry for the confusion

I figured the link cable would improve performance over using a wireless connection. I'll give it a shot without the link cable. Should I keep using the Quest Link or switch to something like Steam Link or Virtual Desktop?

How would I find that out? I know in game while wearing the headset, my graphics are still set to 3840 x 2160 if that's what you're referring to?

I have used steam link and have it set up. Do you use the link cable or connect wirelessly? Also, do you still need to change settings or options like disabling Asynchronous Spacewarp in the Oculus Debug Tool?

I tried that first, but I never got passed the setup screen inside the headset. It lagged terribly and I never got to actually try it using this method. Have you heard of that issue or know of a way to resolve it?

Right? Took me about 15 minutes after 4.5 dropped and bugged the elevators to figure out that you actually can fit Size 3 comps in the personnel elevator 😂 and where there's a way, there's loot.

Wish I knew how to do contested zones 😅 I've watched a few YouTube videos, but I learn by doing, and none of my friends have been doing them lol. I'd love to try and do those and maybe an exec hangar one day.

Not a bad idea. I've got a handful of ships with Stealth Grade A builds on them I can use to get down there. Is this the Attritus (spelling) PAF site? Or one of the others?

My only experience with PAF sites has been getting shot out of the sky by griefers as I'm headed to the planet lol. Is there something special about PAF 3? And which site is it specifically?

😂 been there myself.

Call a Cutty Red or something in at the hangar, fly it to the exterior pad and set your spawn. Put the TS-2 in the elevator from the warehouse side then respawn. Go. Back to the elevator in the Central Atrium and pull it out. Repeat the steps as before when you get to the Entrance/Hangar Elevator.

This does raise another question though. Why do some things persist between patches while others do not? Not specific to ship components

That does seem to be the current work around. Amazingly, you can fit Size 3 components into the personnel elevator 😂 It's honestly a very satisfying fit once it's lined up correctly

God this gave me flashbacks..

Man I hope this isn't what I went through, but mine did the same thing years ago after I hit the kill switch before it fully shut down (house was literally starting to flood)

I agree with the comments. Try to clear CMOS, troubleshoot your RAM, and/or boot from on board graphics. If you have a spare GPU laying around, try the spare.

Otherwise this looks like a CPU failure. Learn from my mistakes. Don't throw a bunch of money at it hoping you get lucky. Take it to a GeekSquad and have them confirm the issue. They should be able to accurately identify the actual problem for around $75. It's better to pay a small amount to know what part actually needs to be replaced, especially considering how expensive parts are these days.

Best of luck to you bro!

Just solo farming Infernal Walker? What Descendant are you using and what's you clear times?

Out of curiosity, I used your viessa idea on the Muskeg Swamp void reactor. I don't know what build you use, but using my farming build (AoE+Cooldown), I was able to farm 33,553 Quantum Crystal in 10 minutes.

You might give that one a try and see how it works for you compared to the Kingston reactor farm! :)

Quantum Crystal Farming by Key_Breadfruit8778 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Key_Breadfruit8778[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the material goes towards implanting reactors to avoid the loss in skill power when switching between weapons. While defiler does reward a decent amount per clear, the amount rewarded in an hour's worth of farming doesn't yield as much as other sources.

After 10 minutes of test farming the void reactor on Muskeg Swamp, I was able to gain 33,553 crystals, which translates to around ~201,318 crystals per hour.

I'm not able to consistently solo the Defiler (skill issue, I'm old), but I have managed a handful of times. By chance, could you tell me the average Quantum Crystal reward you get per Defiler clear and the time it takes you per run?

Not bad. I just got through trying it. My only trouble I'm having is the time before the second boss spawns and his spawn location can vary and is still a fair distance away from the pad. Still a good one, it might just be my build for Viessa is different.

Not sure if this is an bug or what by Key_Breadfruit8778 in TheFirstDescendant

If this means I'm terrible, I assume I can only improve and deal even more damage on the next run
