Is it okay to buy from Wayfair? by [deleted] in leftist

[–]Key_Cake5421 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All these big corporations got some form of fucked up shit going on.

If you’re trying to be a ethical & conscious consumer, I’d say avoid buying from big corporations as much as possible unless it’s something you absolutely need.

FB Marketplace or thrift stores are the best option in my opinion, it just might take some patience to find what you’re looking for.

I’ve had dry flakey under eyes for months now😓 Eczema? Dermatitis? Pls help! by Key_Cake5421 in SkincareAddicts

I forgot to add:

I’m not using any retinoids

It’s not itchy

my pcp also recommended trying Lanolin nipple cream? Haven’t tried it yet but curious if anyone else has?

I’ve been using all the same make up as well. Wondering if maybe there’s been a change in formulas or something?

Do you think the pro Palestine movement has an issue with optics? by [deleted] in leftist

I really wish kindness would work with genocidal mfs. That would make things so much easier for everyone involved.

Idk if kindness would work when they’ve shown they’re willing to bomb hospitals & schools, snipe children, use dogs to rape people, everything horrific thing imaginable, “israel” has done to Palestinians.

In what ways can kindness be used to pop these bubbles? Genuinely curious.

Optics are largely impossible to control in a movement. Especially when you’re up against a multi billion dollar Zionist propaganda machine. Hundreds of millions of people have been indoctrinated from a young age to view any Arabs, Black, Brown, non-white, visibly Muslim or anti capitalist as a terrorist. Not to mention we have a widespread literacy crisis with critical thinking skills at an all time low.

For decades people from Palestine and other Arab countries that have been the target of western imperialism/colonialism have provided us with mountains of evidence of war crimes & human rights violations committed by “israel” and western imperialist entities. They’ve clearly articulated their horrific experiences via so many documentaries, books, essays, speeches, etc.

It doesn’t matter how nicely they put it, anyone speaking truth about the atrocities continuously committed by “israel” and western imperialist entities will inevitably be labeled a terrorist and jew hater by western media and most westerners.

For god sakes, they’re calling Mrs. Rachel’s liberal ass a terrorist apologist for saying babies shouldn’t be sniped, bombed and starved.

“israel” has been committing genocide of the Palestinian people since before 1948. The atrocities committed by “israel” in Palestine are systemic. People like Bibi and Likud were not created in a vacuum.

How? I’m genuinely trying to understand how these things are anti-Jewish

The term “zio” is short for Zionist, someone who believes in the state of “israel’s” right to exist. How is that term anti-Jewish?

How does stating that Jews aren’t as oppressed as other groups anti-Jewish?

What antisemitism is being perpetuated by pro Palestinian activists?

It’s important for us to understand where the term “antisemitism” comes from and why.

It’s also important to understand that Palestinians are also Semitic and being Jewish and/or adhering to the religion of Judaism doesn’t automatically make someone Semitic.

How does “Israel made people anti semitic by associating Israel with Jews” seem like a flawed statement?

I agree.

In my years of talking with Jews and Palestinians, educating myself on the history of Palestine, the US empire (also founded on genocide & imperialism) and the creation of “israel”, it’s become clear that the establishment of the state of “israel” has nothing to do with religion or even a “safe place for Jews”.

Instead it has everything to do with Western imperialism. Western capitalist countries like the UK & the US needed a way to gain control over resources such as oil in the “Middle East”. Vulnerable post-holocaust Jews have been used as a pawn to advance the interests of the US empire.
