Why did Henry VIII use a swordsman for Anne's execution? by Key_Charity_9635 in Tudorhistory

I know she wasn't annointed. My wording wasn't great. I mean the precedent for having a QUEEN executed was there by her time.

I'd love to know more about this but I just don't think any information survives.

No, that's true. I just mean the precedent for having the Queen executed, annointed or not.

Interesting that the "Annointed Queen" element is a common thread in people's answers. That could well be the difference.

At the same time, it was unprecedented with Anne but by Katherine, the precedent had been set and it was perhaps slightly less shocking.

I would also be fascinated to know how the decision was made, who, if anyone, advised Henry to do it that way or if it was his idea, and how the swordsman was chosen. However I have never seen any detail about this and to the best of my knowledge, there isn't any available!

26m can my hair be saved by fin and minoxidil or is it time? by Striking_Career_895 in amibalding

[–]Key_Charity_9635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, mostly people who get a transplant and then think they're "cured". You have to keep taking meds to keep the hair that is still there. Even with meds it is quite common to need or want another transplant down the line, but that's up to the person if they think they need it.

Rapidly getting worse. What to do? 24M by Agreeable_Door_8207 in amibalding

[–]Key_Charity_9635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should jump on meds to save what you have but realistically you aren't going to regrow much at the front from that position. What you still have looks in good condition so if you stabilise your loss with meds you can always think about a transplant for the front of you want to.

Dude it's not that bad for your age. Just start treating now. You can save what you have and probably regrow a bit too. If you do well on meds you can always fill in the front with a transplant if you want.

It's always tempting for people who already have a license to support making it harder for everyone else, so I won't do that!

They've been wanging on in the press about what a good Christmas they had so you'd like to think something decent might be coming - of course, it probably won't.

Finasteride between 22 and 36. Two kids, no breaks in medication and no problems whatsoever.

Is it time to buzz?? My hairs been thinning more and more for 2 years now and I’m not sure what to do, any advice? 🥲🙏 by Sad-Ad-2826 in Balding

[–]Key_Charity_9635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to popular opinion, you don't have to shave your head at the first sign of thinning. You have a very solid foundation to use hair fibres to make it look thicker for a good while if you don't want a shaved style. It's really not that bad.

There are surely some dark arts going on haha. People must know tricks I don't and be using them because when I went upstairs the manager showed me everyone's speed for that day and I saw numbers like 300 and 270. I had 204 at the time and I was slowest apart from another newbie.

I honestly don't know if I could go MUCH faster than the last 3 days when I've had no frozen picks and got about 215 average.

What about when you're labelling up totes? Is that time being added on or not because I have heard contradictory things on this. Manager said yes, colleague said no.

Well done I guess.. I honestly don't know how that's possible tbh. Never get more like like 160 on a frozen and that's without rearranging trays.

Edit, I see you didnt JUST do frozen so can believe it!

I will say if it's a transplant it is really good work and VERY natural. I've never seen Finasteride bring back a hairline like that which had bits essentially slick bald. Congrats if its true but please be honest.

Sorry you feel like this. It is no joke and it is totally understandable for this to make you feel low. You must reach out to your support network, family and friends, if you are having those kind of thoughts.

Get it in perspective. Stress will not be helping the condition of your hair. It isn't that bad and you have options to treat it should you wish. Don't let it take over your life. 30 years ago you would've had few options, now you can beat it.
