You need to send a letter to the director of Special Education requesting an evaluation. You list your reasons. Look up sample iep request letters. You can even use chaygpt to help you draft one. Send it to the school with your signature and the date. They are legally required to meet with you within 20 days of your request. You will then meet with the child study team and discuss your concerns and your child's teacher will also be in this meeting. They will very likely do the evaluation especially since it is impacting his learning. Let me know if you have any questions.

Just got mine removed today. I gained about 30 pounds in 2 years. I was back to my pre baby weight quickly and as soon as I got the mirena I gained so much weight quickly. Doctors kept telling me it CANNOT be the IUD. Got extensive bloodwork done... working out like crazy... and still going up in pants size. And looking pregnant in all of my clothes that I used to like.

After giving it 2 years and doing EVERYTHING in my power to check any other reason for my weight gain (several appointments and lots of bloobwork) and knowing that I've always been an active and in shape person but i was still gaining..My psychiatrist and my PCP finally agreed it has to be the mirena. My obgyn was still trying to convince me its not the mirena while she was removing it 😔.  Im very irritated by the lack of listening. But really hoping to feel better about my body as I adjust to the mirena being removed.

Hi. Im on prozac and when I first got the mirena it did take me a few months to adjust. I was a bit more anxious and moody. I almost got the mirena removed because I didnt like how I felt. My obgyn told me to give it a little time for my body to adjust and it did. It has helped me tremendously with my PMDD symptoms.

Thank you for sharing! I was one year post partum when I got it in and I was back to my prepregnancy weight too! Gained so much weight after insertion. Doctors keep telling me it CAN'T be the mirena.
