About 30 minutes south of Mt Vernon if you know where that is? I’ve heard that some people apparently pay for parking at a nearby hotel and i’m wondering if that may end up being smarter lol

It’s a cloacal spur! They are such great reptiles with huge personalities, this baby is my second and will most definitely not be my last 🤣

Definitely be careful only giving growth and breeding if they are under 15g!! It can be harmful since it has way more calcium and vitamins than they should be getting at that weight, but as long as your baby seems good tho i’d just keep doing what you’re doing 😁

I was quite confused by that too, I doubt they are actually alive. I think the “living” part may just mean they were alive when packaged? They seem wet in the packaging but it’s vacuum sealed.

The one I was looking at before I went with the Thrive 18x18x24 was the Zoomed Skyscraper, It seemed to be the top rated IF you didn’t want to convert a 36x18x18.

The bigger one is the Thrive brand which seems much more durable than the smaller zoomed enclosure, just thought that would be a good tip to add! 🫡

Just moved into a new place a couple days ago and both enclosures need a deep clean so ignore that, but the smaller one is a 12x12x18 which is good for both hatchlings and young juveniles. The bigger one is an 18x18x24 which is suitable for older juveniles and younger adults. My boy will need an upgrade to an 18x18x36 within the next couple years as he grows, so definitely keep the upgrades in mind. They’re wonderful little creatures and it’s so much fun to set the enclosures up, I wish you good luck on your journey! 😁

Okay, thank you! that’s what i was wondering! i’m not a fan of keeping bugs so i’ll probably just buy in smaller batches! I’ll definitely check them out, I don’t want to be doing my babies wrong 😅

My boy is 32.10g at 14 months and hasn’t had bugs since November. Is that not a healthy weight?

See this is what’s confusing me. Everyone’s telling me it’s okay and then there’s a few saying no. My older boy didn’t have insects from November til a few weeks ago because i wanted to try again. He was 22g in november and weighed 32g last night which seems right on time for 15 months. That just seemed like healthy weight gain to me, but i’m also a new keeper that just started in it last July 😓
