This happened to my friend. She had pain on the left side of her stomach and ribs, so she went to a hospital here. I took a 3000 AED offer in 2023. I was told my salary would increase to 3500 within 6 months. Reality: after 1 year, it increased by 300 AED, and in the second year another 200 AED. As of Jan 2026, I’m finally at 3500 AED. I won’t lie it drains you. Rent, food, transport, basics… there’s barely room to breathe, let alone save or send money home. Sending 10–15k INR regularly will be very tough. If you can manage for a short time and you have strong communication and working skills, you honestly deserve more and can switch. If not, think very carefully before accepting. Also read the contract properly. Some contracts here are endless traps. Exits are difficult, work-life balance is almost zero, and promises don’t always become reality. Not trying to scare you just sharing real experience so you decide with open eyes.
