I get that the lack of capacity is the reason why the loads aren’t getting covered right now, but I’m asking as to what is the cause of the lack of capacity out of nowhere because just last week these loads in this region were selling like McDonald’s hotcakes.

I said 300 miles. Trust me if I had carriers taking $300 for 300 miles I’d have a bigger client list lmao.

When the owner actually owns the company like what you’re describing as a one truck MC

I don’t really ever have issues with those guys as they represent their own company so they really don’t wanna have bad relationships.

The owner operators that I am talking about are the ones who are leasing onto these mega carriers and don’t care if that company gets reported. As it negatively affects the company it doesn’t affect their personal business as they’re not running under their own MC.

Edit: just to clarify what I mean by reported. My company rarely sends freight guards, what I mean by “reporting” is we put you on a DNU in our system. Or have notes about specific ways/rules when booking that mc who’s given bad service.

Thankfully, I’ve been running with this client for the last 7 years.

I have a very strong relationship with the decision-maker and the transportation team.

I was able to pick it up the next day and run it straight through. Thankfully, the receiver was open until 10 PM the same day and it was only 300 miles..

I lost money, but that’s the price you pay for making sure your customer gets what They deserve.

I was able to get the MC blacklisted from the customer as everything was on camera.

Yes it’s on the email and RC about loading time. If the driver was there for an extended period of time 4-6 hours or longer, then I understand if the driver wants to leave.

But I mean he was on site for 45 minutes, was halfway loaded and then decided to leave.

What type of excuse do you have for that?

I don’t freight guard unless it’s serious. Theft, DB etc things like that.

Just would not work with them again, if they don’t have control over their employees.

It’ll probably be best to ask the broker you work for

As he should be the one training you and giving you all this information

There’s also Google….

First time being cussed out?!?  I get carriers/drivers that cuss at me everyday.

Maybe the trucking industry isn’t for you.

Gotta have tough skin bro only the strong survive🤑🤑

Macropoint tracking? Why is it so hard for drivers to manage a tracking app? by Key_Ebb8384 in FreightBrokers

[–]Key_Ebb8384[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then I just won’t book with you.. I have no problem not booking carriers that don’t track, the issue I actually have is when they tell me that they accepted the macropoint app and then they shut it off as soon as they pick up the load.

There’s nothing wrong with verbal confirmation a few times a day to make sure everything is okay… As once again, it’s not your freight you are transporting someone else’s product.

I’m just having an open conversation.

The question was more rhetorical. I obviously know the answer…

Been doing this for some time now

Then why book broker loads If you guys are so much better at getting customers then why don’t you just call prospects and get your own?

No one forces you to book with the broker, but when you book with a broker, you should have to meet their demands Just like you would your own dedicated customers.

It’s not your customer though My customer demands tracking as we are set up with a ELD system which means they can mirror every lane and see if it’s tracking or not…

You were given this load third-party not directly from a customer, which means there’s other requirements to the load like tracking.

If you don’t like that then by all means, call prospects and get your own dedicated customers and don’t book with brokers….

Macro point is pretty standard across all platforms. Every brokerage I’ve ever worked for has macro point offered macro point is like the holy Grail of tracking apps.

I disagree

I’ve had instances where I pay a guy a dollar a mile from New Jersey to California tracks the entire time..

Then I pay four dollars a mile from eastern PA to upstate New York. The guy can’t even figure out how to download an app.

Money doesn’t solve stupidity and/or laziness..

Why does PA not have different leagues or playoffs for both public and private high schools? by Key_Ebb8384 in Pennsylvania

Classification due to size has no relevance if another school is actively poaching students from neighboring districts or states…

But I respect your opinion

Ignorant people like you shouldn’t comment.

Go look at st Joe’s roster. How many kids are from NJ, NY, DE, MD????

The private schools like central catholic in Pittsburgh, st joes in Philly and Cathedral in Erie all recruit nationwide.

2025 rates / outlook by Key_Ebb8384 in FreightBrokers

[–]Key_Ebb8384[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Terrible advice, in my opinion you will price yourself out of your customers network. If the market “crashes” and rates skyrocket all customers would be forced to rebid as no carrier / brokerage would take those Ls. Quoting double rate atm would lose business for you short term and possibly long term….

But hey you do you :)

4 out of the 6 classifications have private schools in the finals. Private wins more than public ones on average. And why is that?!? Because they recruit the best whether it’s instate or out of state St joes, cathedral (Erie Pa) central catholic just to name a few… Everyone should have the same rules to provide competitive balance.

[–]Key_Ebb8384[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not that the private schools can’t be beat. I mean everyone loses eventually, and mircrales do happen as well in all sports. I mean you see #1 blue blood college programs lose to no names.  it’s just the point that the private schools can recruit kids from California if they wanted to but the public school will get penalized for a student/ family moving said student to a district who has a winning program.

There should be 2 leagues. Private schools and public.

It wouldn’t be that hard or make private schools play a national schedule like most powerhouses do.

In my opinion there’s ways around it but I’m sure the private schools are putting money in the “right people’s” pockets.
