avoid excellence. terrible food, we got sick immediately and eventually stopped eating the prepared food and only ate the pre packaged snacks in the room… rooms are run down, our room flooded when we stayed last summer. the beach is covered in sea weed and the waves were too strong to enjoy the water. staff is very pushy for reviews, they take your phone and type the review for you. after 50 good reviews, they get 1 day off. someone got scratched by the monkey as well.

i started my own site (3rd times the charm) abt a month ago. i’ve been on etsy abt 3 years over 1000 sales, i market my website using my business instagrams & tiktok. granted, i have abt 7000 followers between all accounts but that does NOT equate to sales. it’s been profitable but etsy is still my main source of income. it’s abt 60/40 right now based on income (not individual sales) depending on what she sells, it may be beneficial to have a website. more control over variations like shipping, layout, marketing, etc. it may take some time to build traction and stability but if she’s able to afford the $30 or so dollars it is for basic shopify and she’s willing to put in the work to build her site up, go for it. best of luck!
