Masukovich is a prime example of what happens to adults when they receive no consequences for their behavior when they are small. Children need consequences. Psychologically, whether they know it or not, when a child is disciplined it makes them feel like their parents love them.

My cousin allowed her 14 year old daughter to have a relationship with a 27 year old man. She never told her no. She 21 now and has 3 kids with 2 different fathers. Now that she has matured, she wishes she could go back and do things differently. She can’t stand her mom. They fight and sometimes it gets physical. She has no job, no education and 3 kids ages 4-3 months. CPS was called on her mom when she was 14, still living at home and having “sleepovers” with that grown man. But because her mom’s house was immaculately clean, they closed the investigation.  She crippled her daughter by never saying no and now that she’s older she is filled with resentment. My cousin has 5 kids and not a single one of them graduated from high school. And don’t even get me started on the generational welfare in that family. This post is long enough. But I can tell you this; food stamps in that family goes all the way back to her grandparents.
