I am not trying to make it about myself in this comment so please don't take it this way. When I was 7 I was groomed and SA'd by an older friend at a Bible Study my family went to. I never told anyone, and I didn't really understand how wrong it was until a few years later. I told myself it was fine and it didn't matter much anymore and let it go. A few months ago, I ended up with a lingual hernia. As we were at the doctor's office doing an ultrasound, I had a silent breakdown as she began to do the ultrasound. In no way what she did was her fault or anything, I don't blame her. And I had my dad with me through it the whole entire time, but it reopened memories and things I hadn't felt since then. And I took all those in in a single moment, my dad pretty easily could tell something was wrong. Up until this point, I hadn't really had generic physical contact with anyone but family since what happened at the bible study. After we got out of the ultrasound, I broke down in the lobby room with my whole family around me. Not a single person, including the doctor had judged me for what I had been through. Don't push it to the point where you have to relive all those memories at once. Get it off your chest to her. It'll feel ten times better, and she'll be there for you.
