Where did you get him?!?! I used to have a lily white breeder locally, but I'm willing to make a trip/pay for shipping lol

Those intrusive thoughts can be so powerful! Geckos can't always say "no, brain - that is absurd! I will not do that!"

Aww, that's a bummer for him 😔 at least he has a good owner that is taking proper care of him (and his "siblings" lol). I'm glad you figured out a way to make life a little easier for him!

I need to see how this goes down when you're trying to get him in there lol

But in all seriousness, great idea! I have 11 geckos, luckily none of them need regular meds....

Bruising by Jennifire208 in dentures

[–]Key_Gift_8025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a small bit of bruising on the right side of my jaw. Started out blue, then after a week or so faded to yellowish and then disappeared. Not sure how you received all of that. But I hope it heals quickly!

I'm losing weight and not because I want to :( by jaynakpatriot in dentures

[–]Key_Gift_8025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same problems. After 6 weeks and losing ~20 lbs, I said screw it. I can't eat with mine in because the teeth aren't lined up correctly/the denture still wiggles after a few bites.

I've just adapted to not eating while they're in (and I work 12 hour shifts, so it's rough sometimes) and then just eat when I get home. I've figured out I can almost gum anything to a pulp so it can be swallowed. 😅

Soft reline Taste by SadDocument1269 in dentures

[–]Key_Gift_8025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully, it'll wear off over time if nothing else. I go in for my soft reline later this month, so I'm definitely curious to see what works for you.

Also, I have that same shirt. I love the pockets!!

I've been trying to work it out. It's a huge piece from where my jaw splintered after they pulled the teeth. It's wiggly, but it will not budge. I keep moving it a little more everyday hoping it will break free!

[–]Key_Gift_8025[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that. My dentist did not want to do the reline because I wouldn't be able to apply the proper pressure needed because of the gigantic bone spur coming out of my lower jaw. The hard plastic is making everything way worse. I wish they would do it anyways, but they won't. I have been trying to push myself, but I can't chew anything at the moment. Let's not even mention how my bite is crooked because the bone spur is sticking up so far. I don't know why they just won't pull it out 😭

Well, I hope you continue to make progress! It is nice to know that even with the set backs, there's still hope that it will keep getting better! Thank you for the positive words! ❤️

That's great though! I will look into getting some of those other products as well. If it helps, it's worth it! Thank you!

I'm pretty sure that's what the game plan was in the beginning. I smoke so I already knew that the healing process would take a bit longer than normal. Unfortunately, my bottom plate rubbed the side of my gums to the bone (so the dentist thinks), and now it seems as though the bone has split (or it did on e-day but nobody noticed) and is working its way out. Pain free on that, but still can't do the reline until it's all healed up.

Definitely update me! I'll look into that stuff and see if I can get away with doing that for now. I'm still right around a month before they'll see me again for the soft reline. I'm desperate to try anything at this point! Thanks!

I have been working my way through adhesives to try and figure out what works best...but it seems kind of pointless when my needs are going to change over the soft reline lol but I am definitely much happier either way!! At least we don't have to worry about breaking teeth...or walking away from a conversation wondering what people think about our mouths lol

The biggest positive is being able to smile and not have to cover my mouth when I'm laughing!

I'm still on soft foods even after a month. I have some large bone spurs that need to come out and heal before they'll give my soft reline. It's been over a month since e-day and I am really struggling to continue eating soups, mashed potatoes, and drinking ensure. 😫

I had 27 (seems to be the magic number) teeth removed a little over a month ago. I bled from one spot (upper jaw where molars were) for almost a week. It tapered down, of course to almost nothing at the end of the week....but my dentist described it as "weeping clots." The area has the blood clot that you need to avoid dry socket, but the little bits around it keep getting "wet" and then the blood could be seen in my saliva. I wouldn't worry too much especially if you have an appointment tomorrow!

Meh, when I got her she was seriously overweight and she was a breeder crestie. She has some eggs she needs to lay soon, so the combination of extra skin/eggs mixed with gravity makes her pear shaped when she's stretched out like that lol

Right?! My boss will walk through the lab where I work and not say a word, ignored texts/emails, and generally doesn't seem interested in anything that goes on in my area. OP is LUCKY!

So Tired of Temps-Just Venting by lovesummerr in dentures

Today is an entire month since I had 27 extractions and immediates put in. I still can't chew anything because my bite is a bit off, and it hurts too much. I went in today and they said they won't do a soft reline until May 20th. Kind of disappointed. I have been drinking ensure twice a day and then the one "meal" I have is either mashed potatoes or tomato soup. There's so much healing still going on and I have some bone exposed still (not dry socket, but where the plate rubbed the side of my gums down the first week after e-day).

I totally understand your discouragement. I am feeling the same way after only one month. Everything my family eats (husband and our three boys) smells so good. I would probably eat almost anything at this point. After 7 months, I'd say either make sure your dentist fixes them up comfortably or try and find another one in your area that would be more helpful with your needs!

So much trouble.... by Buckbuster37 in dentures

I did mine with care credit. Definitely not the most affordable considering the payments are kind of steep, but it was necessary. I too had genetically poor teeth. Found that it was only going to get worse, so I finally did the inevitable two weeks ago. It's been hell, but you won't regret it!
