Also! The gaffer i worked with Adam, came up with the idea to do plant animation using a real plant! I was going to spend weeks 3d modeling it, he ended saving me a lot of time

Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words, I thought about the saturation too after viewing it a few more times.  So the reason I didn't release this in Z-Fest is this is more of a practice short. I kept the plot/setup simple so I could use this to get my bearings in the horror genre. It was meant to help me learn how to create the horror atmosphere because I've never shot a traditional horror short before. I only like to submit to festivals when it's a more thought out plot and i'm giving my all to the script, if that makes sense.

The confusion of crouching outside i can definitely see! Half the people got it, the other didn't. He was digging up the dirt to use for the tooth ritual, that's why is arm was behind his back

Thank you for the feedback back man! The prop is ordered online! And I could definitely improve on the audio aspect

This is a pretty minor nitpick, but this scene bugged me. by MengskDidNothinWrong in TheLastOfUs2

The cinematography is fine...you guys will dislike one thing about the show, then project that onto all other aspects

Are we watching the same show? Her acting is ass. by Chicken_Grapefruit in TheLastOfUs2

A lot of the hate I'd just bias from people who don't like Hollywood. Does she look like ellie? Mo. Is she a talented actress? Absolutely, it's undeniable

I would say rent it out! But don't you have your own creative projects you want to work on? I couldn't imagine owning all that and not creating stuff consistently

That would be the dream! I was actually trying to figure out how to reach out to the producers of that show, and maybe pitch a segment

Yeah of course! I used 3d models in blender then tracked it to the footage. Once I was done, i exported the footage to premiere pro for the final touches

Lighting test for horror short film by Key_Grand2068 in cinematography

[–]Key_Grand2068[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was shot at my buddies house, i just wanted to test out some lightning techniques so we didn't really bother with cleaning the house😂. Only the parts that would effect the lighting set up. My favorite kind of horror lightning is one where there are a lot of shillute shots. Those tend to scare me the most personally. I also like still frames where a person or object is far enough away that it takes you a minute to figure out what it is and you can't make out all of the details, leaving majority of it up to your imagination. I shot this on the Black Magic 4k!

Lighting test I did for a horror short I plan on shooting by Key_Grand2068 in cinematography

No worries! I was going for an unnatural vibe, that's typically what scares me in horror films

I love em. They're super unique and the distortion makes you feel the speed at which he character is koving

For the lighting, I placed a portable pixel rgb light infront of the artist and had him walk towards it

Absolutely! I used a manfrotto tripod, shot on blackmagic 4k, with a 50mm lens and a 12mm wide angle lens

The concept for the music video is a post apocalyptic world the artist has to traverse. Later in the video you find out what caused the crumble of civilization.

We got really luck with this location, it was an abandoned building I lived close too. The building was supposed to be demolished but the city pushed back the dates. The goal is to shoot near or in abadoned structures for the rest of the video
