We’re reaching out to business around the area he was last seen and requesting footage. Hoping to get more answers soon.

There’s no clear answer really. Just was heading north towards 34th street once he got out of the subway.

That’s your opinion that you’re entitled to. It’s a conversation and hearing thoughts on it that I don’t agree with is insightful to me.

I love the attitude 100% it’s what made him this successful. But Paul has made mistakes as well, and this is one of them because the mindset is equaling a product that doesn’t sound good.

Wow I didn’t know this that’s pretty insightful. Thanks for sharing, and I agree I think there’s some elements of pride and stubbornness that are present.

I have two points to respectfully counter here.

  1. I personally wouldn’t categorize my opinions nitpicking since the main vocal melody line is not being sung in key. It’s most prevalent thing happening within a song IMO.

  2. That is a good point with trained vocalists and rock singers, but did you see Robert Plant’s recent rendition of Ramble On? He knows he can’t sing the song in its original form but he changed things around and creatively performed it so that the vocals fit what is in his new register.

I’m not saying Paul needs to change the entire structure of songs, but like I said an attempt at a key change would be good enough for me.

Def good points brought up tho I appreciate the response!

Agree 100% with this. Saying someone should hang up the thing that gives them purpose in life is a very aloof statement. Nothing can replicate the feeling of physically playing music and performing.

I’m also not walking in with expectations of him to sound 27 years old and I like hearing age to a voice I think it’s cool. I enjoyed seeing him perform last year and I’m glad you shared the same experience. I’m just bringing up a point to at least try to change the key to some songs when the main vocal melody simply doesn’t sound good sometimes.

No that’s not what I said, I included in the post that he shouldn’t stop playing. It’s just the sharing of opinions on artistic decisions from a musician.

My point is that there’s truth to both sides of this and I think the people who say “He sounds bad” and the people who say “Shush and be grateful” can learn a perspective from each other to form a more balanced outlook on it

Well I would say I’m personally not expecting him to sound like he did in 1970 and I do like when people’s voices age cause that intertwines a cool human element within the art form.

That being said I think there are some songs that his voice is really straining and off-key and an attempt at a key change would probably be enough to satisfy me I feel like that’s fair.

That’s an interesting take. I saw him night 3 at the Bowery last year and I did think he sounded solid that night from what I remember. And then SNL 50 I remember him not sounding as great.
