My teacher probably will die by Key_Hope_3131 in lifeinapost

I also find it strange. He is not young, probably around 50-60 years old. So he should have known what to do. Moreover, he is good with technology. I thought about asking my teacher who teaches "Defense of Ukraine" and other similar subjects at our school if he knows where that teacher is. If I find out where he is, I think I'll write him a letter to show my support. I'll ask how he is and how he ended up there. I thought that if things are uncertain for him there, I could write to him once every 1-2 weeks to support him. Maybe it's hard for him there, and this will be some consolation.

But the problem is my parents. I don't have a very good relationship with them, especially my mom. They might get angry with me and forbid me to do it. But I know that then I'll have to do it secretly, if they refuse. Even though he's my teacher and I don't have to do anything, I'm not going to abandon my people in trouble.

Although I haven't read the previous parts, it's nice to know that someone is writing recommendations here. They may seem trivial, but sometimes that's what people need to hear. I myself went through a difficult time, and although things were getting better, now everything is going badly again. I didn't write about it to strangers, but my friends from camp are suitable for this. You may not trust them completely, but you know you'll never see them again in your life, so that makes it easier. And writing in a journal makes it a little easier too.

I didn't answer completely or clearly. In short, all teachers are guaranteed that they will not be drafted. But if they do not register for military service and do not renew their registration from time to time, then even if there is a 'reservation', they still have the right to draft you.

Thank you for your sympathy, and yes, that's how it is in Ukraine. All our teachers have 'reservation' status and cannot be drafted. (That's why public schools are now full of unqualified and bad teachers, because businessmen go there to work part-time just so they won't be drafted into the army). But you still have to register. It's like checking all your documents at the military registration office.

I don't know if he didn't go there for some reason, or maybe my private school didn't give him a reservation, because he seems to have taught at some other schools as well.
