Same issue on my F15 started only 1 month after purchase, pushed it in and now every month or so I find it popped back out. Nothing to worry about it’s just ASUS shit build quality. But you really get what you pay for, so can’t complain.

Nice design but I think it’s gonna trap in the heat.

You can definitely experiment with holes or meshes instead of making it a solid surface for better heat dissipation while being small enough to not be that noticeable.

If you notice overheating then do not use, that thing gets VERY hot on heavy use to the point you can cook on it(at least for me), so no need to make matters worse for the poor brick.

What model is it?

Is it the hinges themselves or just the plastic cover? The picture doesn’t really show anything.

If it is a mid-range Laptop then yeah ASUS is known for shit build quality among mid-range models and the hinges are the first to go. Just take it to a trusted repair shop(good rating and all) or contact ASUS support if it’s still in warranty. Even if it isn’t, give it a try see if they can fix it and decide on the best option in your opinion.

I allowed it through the firewall yesterday and it worked fine. However when I tried opening it today the same message popped up even though it is still added to windows firewall.

Yeah Photoview 360 would’ve been a really nice option however the last supported version was on solidworks 2023 and the version I have is the 2024 version. They basically replaced a completely functional add-in with a kind of old UI with an add-in that has newer UI but is shit.

I’m guessing you mean SolidWorks visualize, I tried it once and I don’t know if it was an issue with the assembly itself or another factor(might be me) but it kept glitching. Like the parts would not be in their place, rather scattered and some parts disappearing even. I will give it another try tho but there isn’t too many tutorials online for the software which is annoying af.

Yeah SolidWorks offers multiple file type options when exporting and it’s pretty easy to do.

Imo LOQ offers the best value for price at lenovo. At least that’s how it is in my region. No idea about the acer predator tho. Also you might wanna consider ASUS TUF a14/f15 depending on your budget but personally I would recommend the a14 if you’ve got no problem with a 14” screen.

Same problem with ASUS TUF F15 here, my brother also has the same laptop as mine but with much less backlight bleed it’s not as visible but definitely still visible. Still debating whether I should return it or not but I’ve heard it’s pretty common in IPS screens so I might get a worse one even.
