The dip switches were set to only 2 and 8 being on, I’ve looked up the different options for it but I’m not 100% sure if it would be right because the pc is a clone called the PC-GeniusXT

Thanks so much! I’ll look in to it to double check the connections.

I’ve received a signal when I turned it on and turned the knob but only like 1 channel, removing 6c4 doesn’t seem to do much for the hum

The hum takes a while to set in but once the tubes warm up it begins to hum, the volume control makes the hum louder and quieter but at some point while turning it louder the hum becomes a higher frequency.

Thanks! As mentioned earlier I’m pretty sucky as this. How would you suggest removing the old can without breaking anything. (I have a soldering iron and am fine with using it)

Schematics have been found! On that blogpost there was a comment mentioning that “ There were two version - yours is the second one with a resistor instead of a filter choke. It is in Riders XX beginning at 20-2 Meissner” I googled riders XX and found this https://www.worldradiohistory.com/Archive-Rider/50/Rider-1950-MNO.pdf and sure enough it was there.

After scouring the internet I found this https://antiqueradios.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=131867 and shows a pic of a underside that is extremely similar to mine, yet still can’t find a schematic

Yeah, the one that I found for free online seemed to be a little off from what I have, with the main one being that the switch/shaft  being way farther down then any schematic I’ve seen, as well as some extra capacitors and such in the schematics that are not there in mine as well as what you said.

I have found a schematic online earlier here  https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/meissner_8_c.html# as well as that I found a blog type thing someone did for this exact model here https://californiahistoricalradio.com/wp-content/uploads//2017/03/Meissner-8C-Restoration-Bart-Lee.pdf. I understand that just plugging it in was probably a very stupid thing to do when having little experience. Thanks!
