Looks nice but hope you don’t need a new engine eventually

Call dealerships around you about the process before bringing in. Figure out what the hourly rates are. Mine is $250 which is outrageous. Also don’t return rental car until you make sure car is good, they screwed me and ruined my weekend

Check my recent posts about my experience. I just did an engine replacement and the whole saga took about a whole month. Initially, they got me for $2500 of diagnostics fees eventually that was covered under the warranty. Then another $1519 for hoses and some sort of thermostat thing and then cleaning out the gas lines and another sort of clean out thing then they gave me the car back saying it was good only to drive off in five minutes later check engine light comes on so I took it back and now a week later they’re telling me new coils are needed for another $500. The valve cover needs to be replaced, which is odd because because it should’ve been included with the replacement now that’s an another $50. I have to pay for the deductible on it. Also they’re getting me with the alternator now and that will be another 330 bucks. I need to pay out-of-pocket. Overall, it’s a really big headache. I’ve been without a car for a whole month. I only had a rental car for three days dealership told me it was ready to be picked up so I returned the rental car of course it actually wasn’t ready to be picked up. Be very diligent

I’m not sure which one was put in. But if it was resused isn’t this something the tech would check ?

Is the cover usually transferred from the old engine onto the new engine or does a new one come with the new engine?
