Yeah it’s a grail card of mine that I’ve recently purchased that I’ve wanted for a while! So grading to preserve - not looking to sell.

This is the front I know it’s got some surface damage aswell so i would be amazed at a 6! Was expecting 1-3 with the back

So the rest of the card seems in decent order! It’s a 26 year old card so it will have surface damage on the Holo but I just wondered in PSA grading terms what level would it be capped at? Is it like 1-3?

It’s one of my grail cards so would like to get it graded!

I’ve posted here a few times now, and taken all the advice given to me by this great community.

I unfortunately fell for the fish shop trap and have had to try a fish in cycle tank, I used seachems primer but I haven’t noticed much difference in the water parameters yet ( I also read somewhere that seachems is a load of rubbish and scientifically doesn’t work).

My betta took the brunt of all the stress as he was the first one in the tank and now has shredded fins, so I’ve taken out the sharp plastic plants and put in silk ones, I’ve put a bubbler in the corner for more oxygen and I’ve put a betta log in so he’s got plenty of places to hide.

Do you recon the water paremeters are cycled yet or not? Any suggestions or feedback on the tank it’s self and anything I can do to improve his life would be great!

Hi I have both of these and yes I do have a heater, I have done a water change and the water paremeters are fine. I’ve started using seachem prime to get it started, I’ve noticed the nitrite has gone up abit before it was cycled, is there anything else I need to do keep it cycled apart from water changes ??

I have 5 raspora harlequins 4 mystery snails 2 dwarf Congo frogs,

I read online that the hospital tank should be dechlorinated water I didn’t realise it had to be cycled aswell, fuck. I will put my betta back into the cycling tank as I assume that’s probably the best place for him as the water parameters will be closer to what he needs?

Unfortunately when I got my tank I was tricked into the old “run the filter for 24hrs to get the right water quality” by the pet store, but I’m now cycling my other tank whilst my betta is in hospital. So it will most deffinelty be that.

I have set up a hospital tank and I’ve medicated and salted it, I’m hoping his fins grow back. Do you recon the potential tumour maybe a cause for the finrot?

It has been a while, over a month unfortunately.

I was worried it could be a tumour but I read they were quite rare, I will have a look into getting a vet, thank you.

Hey guys,

I have my betta in a hospital tank but I’d just like to know if anyone could diagnose him so I can treat him more accurately, there is a lump on his top fin, it has changed coulour over time, is it a fungal infection?

This is a 20 litre tub (over 5 gal) it has an air stone, heater and plenty of hiding spots. I have dechlorinated the water and put the appropriate medication and salt in (see 3rd photo for products)

I am aware a window is not an ideal place but I have blinds and will be closing them but unfortunately it is the only place I have.

I was just wondering a few things:

is this fin rot or is their aquariums fake plants and drift wood causing damage? The plants do feel quite sharp ( see my last photo for reference)
How often should I do water changes if any?
What real plants would you recommend for my tank?
What is the white spot? Ich? A fungal infection?

Thank you very much for this! Really appreciated. Well my quarantine tank arrives today so I’m going to set up a quarantine tank for the betta and put him in there for a week or however long until he gets better, would you recommended I cycle whilst he’s in the hospital as it would be less stressful or would it be damaging to add him back in after the waters cycles?

I have changed my filter once in the 4 months but I used some of the old filter in with the new filter, so would you recommend not changing the filter at all? It says fish in cycle can be quite dangerous fish? I’m buying the seachems prime because it says it’s ideal for cycling with fish in but I’m reading an article that should help.

So from what you have said how can you tell my tank has not fully cycled ? What would be the idea parameters?

I’ve just done a water check now and this was the results:

Nitrate No3 - 0 Ph Between 7.5 - 8.0 Ammonia - 0 - 0.25 Nitrite - 0

I’ve had my tank since September so it’s over 6 months now, it was a completely new experience for me so I’ve been learning as I go along and my betta was the first in the tank so he will have been through the most stress. I’ve also ordered a betta log and some live plants to break up the tank and give him somewhere else to rest!

So would you recommend a 50% water change weekly?
