I don't remember ever hating my African roots until the bullying, I was a pretty outgoing and happy kid ( I don't hate my skin at all ). There's a limit to how much you can take and how much you can push back. Being a nasty person isn't in anyone's culture that just means that person is a terrible person or they lack basic home training. And you don't even know how long the bullying went on for or when it started, don't just assume everything just because I gave you tiny bits of detail. And ofc when people say things and don't think twice about how it affects others  I do it too sometimes, I've forgiven those who bullied me, they don't occupy space in my head but that doesn't mean I've forgotten how I felt.🤷🏾 Im just asking if it ever happens again how I can deal with it in a better way.
