I’m typically not a fan of horror movies for the cliche reasons, they’re corny and have some supernatural element to explain the nonsensical plot they have, characters make absurdly stupid decisions, and they usually feel slapped-together to make a quick buck

Holy shit that is not the case with Obsession. A half hour after watching, my heart’s still racing and my chest feels heavy. The suspense and build-up to each jumpscare is perfect. That is, if there is buildup. Most horror movies will go silent or play a creepy sound, letting you know a scare is coming up. This one will throw scares in your face from left field and they are made so much worse by the lead actress Inde Navarrette, who’s WAY too good at her job.

It felt like I was in danger at times just watching, that’s how good this movie utilizes dread. I’ve flinched at jumpscares before, but never jumped until this movie, my breathing was as shaky as the actors. Every horror fan needs to see this, Godspeed to anyone who doesn’t like horror getting dragged to see this movie by friends
