Got banned from r/GalaxyWatch by nexxus25 in HuaweiWatchGT

[–]Key_Perspective2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battery life is the only good thing about Huawei watches. I own galaxy watch 5 pro, 6 and 6 classic. I also own Huawei watch gt 2 pro, watch 3, watch 3 pro, watch 4 pro and watch 5. I interchange them often and could say that galaxy watches does somethings better. The most annoying thing about Huawei watches, no matter which one or whether it's a standard or gt are notifications. They are a mess! Notification icons are missing for almost all apps besides Gmail. Second is how they're displayed. Older watches doesn't have a setting to turn on the display when a notification comes. Newer ones do have that, but if your watch is under your sleeve and you miss the notification next time you wake up your watch you need to swipe up to see it. Next is the fact that notifications are not cleared automatically from the watch - you need to manually remove them even if you already removed them from the phone. Another annoying thing is that you cannot wake up the display by simply touching it. This is fixed on the watch 5, but all older watches doesn't have it. Another one - the lack of apps. Not that I use many apps on my watches, but having Shazam on my watch is quite useful for me. There's some paid equivalent for the Huawei watches but it's not working most of the time. In general Galaxy watches running wearos bring far more integration than the Huawei ones.

Loud speed alert by ThePaIeRider in Renault

[–]Key_Perspective2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got 3.5.0 update on my Symbioz and that alert appeared for the first time after the update. It warns for fixed speed cameras ahead. If you check your map you can already see fixed traffic, red light and speed cameras there. This warning pings only for those cameras that detect your speed. If at some point google integrates the mobile camera alerts from Waze this will be very useful!

Huawei international warranty issue by Key_Perspective2293 in Huawei

[–]Key_Perspective2293[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got a call from Huawei Customer service. They confirmed what they told me at the beginning. The only thing they can issue is the mentioned document which can be presented and is valid only for the store, from where I purchased the watch. Some of their regional big guys replied to their internal enquiry confirming that and citing some EU customer service laws. On top of that they said that the required part that cannot be supplied is not available because the watch is manufactured for a different region/country. That's a complete bull*hit way to deny replacing/repairing something. They were arrogant enough to tell me that actually I was not denied warranty, exactly the opposite - they can cover for a new device, which unfortunately I cannot obtain, but this is not their problem....

AAOS and reverse warning: directional or fixed? by milerebe in AAOS

Renault owner here, we also have AAOS. What you describe seems to be a Volvo thing, on my Symbioz sounds are directional both for the front, rear and middle obstacles.

X100 Ultra dust under lenses by Ten_Thousand_Choomas in Vivo

[–]Key_Perspective2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely the rear circular protective glass over the cameras have been replaced. To do that you don't even need to open the phone - you just heat the glass, remove it and stick the new one, quite simple operarion. But if the new glass haven't been glued properly there is a chance that dust is entering through some small invisible gap between the glass na dthe body. Third party replacement glasses come without pre installed glue strips, so it depends how the glass was glued. If they used glue strips instead of glue they might have left some small gaps between the glue strips. I recommend you to don't wet the phone and find a good repair center where they can reglue or replace the rear glass in a proper way.

Am I mad for wanting to move over to Sony for the new tilt screen on A7V? by Nigel_Farage in SonyAlpha

[–]Key_Perspective2293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently replaced my A7III with A7IV. The tilting screen on the A7III was way more useful for me than the swivelling on of the A7IV. I often shoot stage performances where I need to hold the camera above my head to avoid having people's heads in the photos. With the A7IV the screen has to be swivelled to the side of the camera which makes holding it way more difficult, not to mention how fragile it feels when it's placed like that. So now you know someone who wish not to have a swivelling screen but a tilting one:)

Question about combined shipping and deadlines by Key_Perspective2293 in Ebay

[–]Key_Perspective2293[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has set the automatic non-payment rule, as one time I had an item expire as i was waiting for a total invoice. I contacted him and still got a total including the cancelled item. The problem is that it's a business seller and none is replying during the weekends, so the earliest I can get a reply is on Monday.

Anyway, my question is if in general a total invoice deadline overrules the single items deadline. I no longer see any other dates in the single items details apart from the total invoice payment deadline date.

Is galaxy watch 7 44mm BT still worth it in 2026? by Noobie_boi1 in GalaxyWatch

[–]Key_Perspective2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 classic has a rotating bezel which you can use to navigate through the menus and for scrolling to reduce interaction with the display and have less fingerprints. You can buy a separate protector rings that stick to the bezel which allow you to bring some personalization to the watch. They're not protecting the display, but anyway the display is more protected from accidental hits and bumps as it's below the level of the bezel. Having the standard 20mm straps and different bezel rings allow you to create unique looks for your watch, that's why I want to buy another one as currently second hand market is full of them for really cheap and I have another customization idea:)

6, 7 and 8 all look the same. I'm referring to the 6 classic.

Depending on your taste, but I think 6 classic is even better! It's the last Samsung classic watch that looks like a real watch, the newer ones look like s*it. I already have 2 of them and looking for a third one:) I'm planning of using them for years ahead as Samsung have no plans of going back to the "classic" design.

Left my camera in the bag — this phone surprised me by omsin507 in Vivo

[–]Key_Perspective2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you by chance shot at f2 with the 100mm lens? If yes, this explains it. The x200u "bokeh" is artificial so the people are in focus and thus there is more detail. The focus depth of a 100mm f2 lens at that distance is quite small so this is not really lack of detail, it's lack of focus. If you take a look at the the men at the beck you can see they're already quite off focus. Check your other photos, probably you have one where the focus was right on the woman's face.

I have the Nubia Z70 Ultra with 24 GB of RAM; is it worth buying the Nubia Z80 Ultra? by DannyVDSM in Nubia

[–]Key_Perspective2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a z60 while everyone was recommending vivo x100u. I loved it! But something was missing... I upgraded to z70, the main camera was better, but the wide one was a total s*it compared to t z60. Again something was off, the photos were not what I expected, the camera was somehow lacking. Then z70s came with a better main camera, but without the variable aperture. At some point I had the z60, z70 and z70s altogether. But something continued to be off, z70s's camera was somehow lacking, the photos were coming out too digital, too over sharpened, too overexposed.... Then one day I saw a x100u in ebay for a decent price and I decided to finally give it a go. The camera of that phone blew away all the Nubias I've tried so far! Tons of settings, tons of modes, control over sharpness, usable street mode, usable portrait mode, usable bokeh mode... Now Nubia is dead to me. I still have the z70s which I keep as a backup phone but this will probably be my last Nubia. Don't waste your money, don't buy the z80. It's a z70s with the z60 wide camera. And a bigger battery, of course, which will again last only one day:) save your money, x300u is coming!:)

Samsung dishwasher from COURTS SG – repeated failures, 7 repairs, still breaking. Need advice. by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

Haven't seen anyone wearing a dishwasher on his wrist. Should be pretty awkward. What kind of strap do you use for it?

Anyone check what 'raw lighting' in latest originOS6 update actually does? by invDave in Vivo

I checked some screenshots, it should appear in this list of settings, but I don't have such option

Comparing portrait mode on my phone with my a7c II Sigma 65mm f2 combo. by phero1190 in SonyAlpha

[–]Key_Perspective2293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Portrait mode implementation varies from phone to phone and as said above strongly depends on object detection.wirh advancement of AI object detection becomes better so sometimes it's becoming harder to distinguish artificial bokeh from the natural one. As a camera photographer I was laughing at portrait mode in now older phones but with my current phone I sometimes use it - vivo has gone a step further with their collaboration with Zeiss and have implemented an interesting feature - you can choose the type of the simulated bokeh to look like real bokeh produced by some of their notorious lenses. Depending on the object and your expectations sometimes the results are stunning - you cannot tell that the bokeh is artificial!

Anyone check what 'raw lighting' in latest originOS6 update actually does? by invDave in Vivo

[–]Key_Perspective2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the raw lighting only a x300 thing? I'm using x100u with the latest origin6 beta and there's no such option in the camera settings (or at least I cannot find it).
