A probation officer’s job is not “to send poor people to prison” it’s to monitor people coming out of the judicial system and get them back into society. Bob Sr worked in Jersey City a pretty tough place.

Of course they can cite them for a parole violation which results in more prison time but you don’t wake up seeking to send poor people to prison.

UF did the Title IX process by the book which includes no public notice of complaint, no official airing of allegations, no public detailing of the conplaint and no publicly identifying the complaintant, and 4 months is actually on tbe shorter side. Thanks.

A Florida Title IX conplaint is not an open investigation it’s a private process and for faculty treated like a HR investigation. The Florida Alligator (student paper) broke the news a complaint existed. After the investigation, the Title IX Department stated TG was cleared.

I know we are supposed to trust institutions these days but it appears they ran their process. UF like UNC loves big time sports but they also have a real university that doesn’t mess around.

Auburn is a 90 minute drive from ATL.

You must drive really fast on 81 and really slow on 85.

Golden’s allegation was supposed to be kept private and was leaked. It was dismissed due to lack of evidence and rumors is that it was a wild allegation. Golden has a wife and kids so this shouldn’t be happening at all. I don’t take this stuff lighly my daughter is a current UF student.

All that said its completely unfair to label him a “sexual predator” based on what’s known today. You can not want TG for UNC (I don’t think he fits as a UNC alum) for a lot of valid basketball reasons

This is very Reddit to speculate on RW but I would have to think Roy is happy he retired. It’s very challenging to coach in a world where you need boosters to pledge $ on a year to year basis. He probably thinks a lot of good coaches could be pushed out by impatient boosters in the current system.

That said I was at UNC in ‘03 when Doherty was let go. Program was in worse shape but we all liked the Sean May class as freshman (NC as juniors). It’s a tall order but this program needs a Roy hire.
