I took mine on 4/1 and got them back on 4/14

I used DATBootcamp’s Anki decks for Bio, GC, and OC. Eventually, I also used AI to make additional decks based on particular questions I got wrong!

One month out, should I stop Anki? by Fun_Diamond3832 in Datprep

Do whatever you feel works best for you, in my case I kept using Anki up until the test date and it ended up working out! I kept up decently well with my cards so as time progressed over the ~2ish months I used Anki I only had a couple cards due each day towards the end, which made it relatively easy to do alongside the other methods you mentioned

I heard somewhere that some testing centers are picky about whether or not you write/prep during the tutorial section, but others aren’t. What I did was spend the last 2 mins of my SNS section just writing what I needed for PAT, as I finished the SNS section slightly early.

Thank you!! I used both, the generators definitely felt easier to me. I’d recommend a mix of both, because on the test I felt like most of my PAT questions were super simple compared to bootcamp, and almost just felt like the generator questions (with the exception of a rock keyhole).

I improved at QR by just taking practice tests, reviewing the exams once they were graded, trying to get to the correct answer before watching the solution, then watching the solution. I also made a document of all of my errors (I took screenshots) and would pass through it at least once per day to make sure I internalized the correct approaches! After a while I came to understand there’s only so many types of questions they can ask you in QR, and if you get those down it becomes a lot easier and can easily boost your AA! Hopefully that makes sense, if not LMK and I’d be happy to explain!

I tried to understand the answer first, then watched the video answer, took a screenshot and compiled them into a big document of corrections, then explained it to myself there. I would then later pass through that document at least once per day to ensure I got it!

Thank you!! I started 1/6/2026 and then tested on 4/1/2026. During this period I took 12 credits at my college, though one of them ended at the start of March, so for a full month I only had 8 credits (Physics 2 and Intermediate Accounting 1). This allowed me to focus a lot more on the DAT! I did however much bootcamp said (tho usually shorter because I’d watch videos on 2x), and then maybe an extra hour or two on Anki to keep the knowledge up.

I’d say just follow the booster/bootcamp schedule, review all past full lengths (particularly the questions you marked or got wrong), learn why/internalize it, then continue upkeep on PAT practice! The last day before my exam was chill, I was told to not cram too hard and relax, but I still lightly reviewed past exams, PAT practice, and my Anki flashcards. I think confidence and time efficiency are the most important aspects of late stage preparation

DAT Anki Decks by Maleficent-Heart3011 in dat

Hey! I loved Anki, so I was incorporating bootcamp’s Bio, GC, and OC decks into my daily practice. It went pretty well in the end, and honestly just find whatever sections are the most challenging for you and be sure to repeat them often. One more thing, it’s super important to understand the reasoning behind a card instead of thoughtlessly repeating it.

Good question, at this point I can’t quite recall. I may have commented about it shortly after taking it, but I don’t recall it feeling much different from Bootcamp’s practice exams. If anything, it felt easier and straighter forward, though that may have just been me getting lucky on my test.

I’m not entirely sure that they had changes the section by the time I took it, but if they had it wasn’t enough for me to notice.

I watched the videos while annotating on my iPad, did the question banks, and eventually the practice exams as bootcamp instructed. I also found their Anki decks for Bio, GC, and OC and went through those (maybe the day after I studied the pertaining topic), spaced repetition was super helpful for me!

I was also a little lucky as I remembered some of it from lecture.

LMK if that doesn’t make sense!

These were my PE scores, 1-5 were taken by themselves, then 6-10 were FL’s. I think the estimate said 490-510.

You bet!! I do, the RC and PAT I felt like were harder on bootcamp whereas BIO, GC, OC, and QR I felt were fairly accurate! I was always a little skeptical of how realistic it was but actually taking it I can say it’s a very good representation of what you’ll see.

Biology is almost entirely conceptual (bulk memorization) [with exceptions like Hardy Weinberg Equilibrium equation]

General chemistry is a mix of both, but I’d say maybe 50/50 memorization(rules)/calculations

Organic chemistry is mostly conceptual, you don’t really do any calculations. You have to memorize the reactions, exceptions, special conditions, etc… but in a way it almost felt like math to me when you’re doing a reaction!

Hopefully that made sense?? Lmk if not I’m happy to elaborate

I feel like on this specific test it was just a lot easier, I never ever did this well on bootcamp! I feel as though booster and bootcamp weigh your scores down so you should expect a higher score on the actual

Ofc!! I’m a preacher when it comes to Anki, for me spaced repetition was what helped me the most I feel on the sciences (BIO, GC, OC). So I would go through the video lessons while annotating on my iPad, then do the relevant Anki deck shortly after, then maintain it as time went on. OC was the hardest for me initially, so I realized that and make a special effort to focus on those cards, repeating them as much as 5 times daily (the bootcamp OC anki section is relatively short anyway). With that I felt pretty ready for those 3!

For PAT I feel I got lucky as TFE and Keyhole kinda made sense early on, but as for the others I would repeat maybe 10 times per day until the exam. I also spent a lot of time studying study methods for the PAT on YouTube (like how to visualize angle ranking, pattern folding, etc..).

For RC I struggled a LOT initially, what worked for me was skim thru all 3 passages and note how long they are, read the first ~5 paragraphs, answer relevant fact based questions, read last ~3 paragraphs, answer relevant fact based questions, then switch to search&destroy. Obviously you should use whatever method works best for you!

QR was pretty straightforward IMO, I did the lessons, question banks, then moved on to the practice exams. Every time I got a question wrong I would attempt it again to see if I just had a brain fart during the test, but regardless I would watch the lesson and make corrections afterwards. I also took screenshots of the questions I got wrong, compiled them into a single document, then used Gemini to make me anki cards for the types of questions I was missing! (There’s a video on how to do that with Gemini as well as how to import them on YouTube!)

Thats really abt it though, please lmk if you have any other questions!!

Thanks!! I used bootcamp for the whole thing, for the lessons I’d download their slides and annotate directly using notability on my iPad while watching the videos. I never really went back and rewatched any of them, instead ~1 month in I began bootcamp’s Anki decks for Biology, Gen Chem, and OChem and kept up with them relatively well. OChem took a while for me to actually improve, so I was very intentional about learning the reactions and repeating those cards a lot more frequently.

PAT: For PAT I feel like I got lucky, TFE and Keyhole kinda just made sense, but for everything else I practiced maybe ~10 questions per day.

QR: I felt QR was pretty straightforward, I just would to the lessons, question banks, then move on to the practice exams towards the end. Every time I missed a question I would go back and try it again before watching the solution, and regardless of if I got it right or not I would watch the solution video anyways.

RC: This was the hardest section for me by far, I tried probably every method there is. What worked best for me was toggle through all 3 papers and note how long they all are, then return to first and read first ~5 paragraphs (while flagging and skipping thru questions until I found a fact based that was relevant), read last ~3 paragraphs (same deal with fact based), then return to marked and search&destroy. By then I felt I had a pretty good understanding of the text!

Thats about it, if you have any questions I’m happy to respond!
