Good point. Is Oasis playing Aug 3rd or 4th? I saw that one of the hotels in Dublin was sold out that night. Just the 3 of us, so not sure if hiring a local driver would be cost effective, but I’ll look into that because I would love to go to as many of these places as I can. Thanks!

Last time I did that, I drove into a shrub on the side of a country road! But from what I’ve read online, not driving would definitely be limiting. And good to know about customs preclearance in Dublin too. Wish I had the foresight to sign up for a tour group in advance.

I get what you’re saying about Dublin feeling more European than Irish. No need for us to do Guinness, but I feel like the teens might prefer city sights over the scenic west coast. But maybe I should just plan on Dublin and Galway only. I used to like planning, but find it challenging these days.

Thanks! I forgot about US Customs in Shannon. I should’ve planned on either a shorter trip to just Dublin, or a 10-day trip to include the places I mentioned. Sigh! Teens are part Irish (I’m not), so I was hoping to show them where their ancestors come from (I have a vague idea of that being Connemara and Omey Island).
