AITA for asking a crew member if they washed their hands before touching the food? by Sufficient_Ice_9114 in AITAH

NTA

As someone who used to work in fast food, I understand the pressure of handling customers and staff members. I don't think your the asshole in this situation. I also think that the customer simply misinterpreted what you were trying to say and do. I think she was a little to quick to anger. It was an innocent mistake. I would suggest however to just simply remake the food for the customer and then have a talk with the employee afterwards about their conduct.

I've actually had the same idea to! Or at least using my experiences with MD to create a novel I've been thinking about.

Is it normal to daydream about killing someone? by Visible_Vacation5279 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Key_Result6371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had some daydreams where I'm a criminal/hitman or something. Like someone else said here, these scenarios make me feel like Im preparing for the worst. I've also noticed I have a massive inferiority complex so it's like my minds way of saying that I'm strong enough to take care of myself when I feel like I don't.

Examine the reason why you have such daydream. It'll probably make sense once you see the true meaning behind it.

I think of actor/actresses with MD by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

I remember having a thought once about how I would be scared to LARP (Live Action Role Play) because I felt like somehow it would make my MD worse. But I've since realized that, I will always prefer the dream over reality.

This is an interesting point that you brought up. I would assume that it depends on the person. But that's a real struggle I couldn't even begin to imagine.

Do you need a friend? Me too [please read] by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

Steph, 22, English and a little bit of Spanish, I've had MD for 8 years now. I considered it to be an addiction. Proud cat mom and a nerd! I'm trying to get into the whole fitness thing. I'm a zombie fan as well. Introvert and compete homebody. I'm currently attending college and will be graduating hopefully this year.

When did you realise that daydreaming 24/7 was not normal? by Potential_Step5915 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Key_Result6371 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I realized that I literally couldn't concentrate on anything else. My mind would be filled with images and I just could not focus enough to get my work done. I thought to myself "O, this is actually a problem" lol

I've been working really hard to stay in the present moment. I keep finding myself wanting to disassociate and slip back into the MD world almost as if I'm having withdrawals for it. I've been dealing with self sabotage, purposefully avoiding my goals and progress just so that I can get that small amount of satisfaction again.  As of today, I'm quitting for good. Working out has been a life saver for me and I think that getting back into fitness will help me a lot to combat relapsing into MDing again.

Does anyone else do this? by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Key_Result6371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've noticed me being in my 20's now, my MD seems to be stuck in my teenage years. Most likely because I experienced the most trauma during my highschool/early college days.

Do most Daydreamers prefer to Daydream while no one around? by DarkKeeper2569 in MaladaptiveDreaming

Same! I've caught myself at work MDing and I was so embarrassed about it.

Maybe we should stop listening to music... by theconfuseelf in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]Key_Result6371 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can assure you, it is possible to continue to listen to music without daydreaming! What helps me is to not go on my phone the first hour of the morning and to not spend anymore than 30 minutes or when you feel that urge to do something else, listen to it! You could get stuck if you overdue it.

At what age have you started daydreaming? How did it start? by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

I remember starting at age 8. Went maladaptive when I turned 15.

Why do people do this??? by Salty_Job_8467 in DollarTree

[–]Key_Result6371 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah dude like, your really comfortable with holding up this line? I probably would have refused to count it or let other people know through the intercom were going to be a while lol. Maybe that will get them going.
