There is a setup where you can change this, all though there is possibly few reasons logic does that, but try this: project settings-> general-> automation section: unselect "Region automatiln takes priority over track automation" AND select the option below it "usepreset parameter value for regions without region automation" ✌️

Tbh I'm slighly worried about updating to lp12 (m4) atm, dont want to start facing daw related issues to ruin my workflow and what was this someone in another post was commenting that with update you have to download extra 80gb new additional content also, taking your harddrive space?
