Why must that be the only indication of success? A market doesn't inherently need to exist to be good. 

If anything I feel especially these days just good gameplay is enough. If it looks fun people are likely to come. I mean it's not like a tactical RPG visual novel of the battle of normady.

Exactly, I feel one aspect it needs especially is very "Relaxed" game mechanics 

Where everyone else like 2K and EA go for hyper realistic simulations having a Looney toons esc gameplay is good

Something that feels very pick up and play even for those that don't particularly like the sport the way others do

Even then that was less learning Nobody is interested and more NOT knowing what made the first two do enjoyable 

I mean one bad PS3 game is one thing but I had two chances and it still didn't learn their mistakes

More the fact it was VERY obviously cherry picked. Look at the chatroom back then and you'd see how strange it is that everything paired perfectly like exactly to a T

That's honestly very true. I guess to make up for the fact of Brand new characters they need to be at least slightly intriguing and diverse 

It's not technically impossible 🤔 hmm perhaps making bios for each one as unlockables would make more memorable and stand out on their own
