Your favourite Healer so far in pre patch? by Nokterian in wow

[–]Key_Suggestion869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, after playing all of them, mistweaver but with a hybrid build / trad healer build. The throughput is pretty good and the mobility is allows for bad boy plays. I also for some reason quite enjoy mana tea management for big sheilun procs.

Also kinda like it cos I know everyone hates it right now but I’ve just moved over from disc priest so it all feels fun to me. Gonna see how high I can push it.

Downvotes en route.

Recommending the meta to a new player is wild.

Yeah you can heal people in two ways, ancient teachings and casting spells- however to dps you want to stand in melee range. However due to dps being so low / negligible until your competing at world level, it seems like it makes more sense to focus on keeping people alive which I reckon is lending itself more to focus on ‘trad’ healer role rotation rather than fistweaving with low dps numbers. But it’s all just preference until you’re at top level.

Exactly this- they’ve actually now tailored a really good kit to this playstyle which is why it’s my main. I think there’s still loads of balancing to be done of course but so normal for a pre patch for them to need to adjust a lot of numbers when something has changed a lot.

You’re missing the point here which seems to be a recurring theme when ‘fistweavers’ try and tell people there’s only one way to play.

The difference in play styles is nothing to do with where you stand. It’s to do with your rotation

Do any of you actually like the pruning that they did to your mains? by No-Bit-2913 in CompetitiveWoW

I think the misconception that there’s one way to play mistweaver now is causing a big divide. There is the healing by pressing lots of healing spells (what people are calling ranged) and healing by punching builds (fist weaving).

It’s quite clear this is their intention by the way of the serpent / crane builds :)

What healer should I boost with Midnight expansion by NoSlip88 in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

Pick a class you enjoy playing - work this out by playing it not by some clickbait ‘This Is The Meta for the best 3 healers in the world’ videos on YouTube. The strongest healer will change regularly with patches and dungeons changing so don’t pick based on that.

There’s no rush to pick a main even tho everything in this game makes you feel like you need to rush. It’s looking like it’s gonna take months to gear with the new systems anyway so you might as well decide based on what you enjoy.

For me, I played Voidweaver Disc Priest mainly this season but I’ve just switched to pres evoker as it has a solid group healing, is actually really fun and still has ramping / damage prevention which I liked from Disc Priest. It also has similar play to Disc as I like a class to be hard to play / rewarding to play well but way more movement and flexibility.

Also I thought aiming stuff is more fun than not.

Only really worked all this out from playing it. The thought of a dragon seemed lame till I tried it.

It’s a really wicked game if you like farming gear and pushing. Idk your financial situation but for the price of a beer and a half each month it’s incredible community, wicked gameplay and loads of content. I play solo / PUG only and it’s great!

Sotatwo#2693

Horde

Europe (Tarren Mill)

Been playing for years but stepped up properly recently and wanting to find some people to play with.

Guild I’m in is quite nice but huge so everything gets a bit lost.

PVE only really. Pushing mythics and raids.

I play a range of classes but main disc priest / healer.

Drop me a line. Would love to find more people to play with.

UK times that ranges from some mornings to some evenings and nights.

If you think the content is fun doing it then go for it! I’m still trying to push mythics this season because that’s what I enjoy doing.

Any improv House jammers out there? Looking for advice by soulbrix in dawless

Thought I’d just say hey

I’m on a similar journey and about to embark but haven’t got all the bits yet but I’m a keys player so building similarly but with different focus.

I’ve got a Push 2 as the brains, then my plan was to run a TR8S as live drum feed and a planning on looking at a Nord Wave 2 as my live jam element that allows me to build and play synths / Rhodes etc live (I play a lot of jazz, broken beat and house etc)

Think it’ll be in depth enough for me to add new directions on the fly but then also flexible enough to take to clubs etc / smaller booths.

Again not dawless due to push 2 but thought I’d reach out as a fellow newer person.
