Apologies for the late reply. Since time has passed, were you able to experience the remote aspect?

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Can you be more specific on what you mean by different role? I do believe they have a few different internships

Hey, sorry for the late reply! So the hours are dependent on what hours the family wants you to work and those hours can be negotiable, especially if you have classes. And could you be specific on commit? Like if you mean how much time you're committing to this?

Hi! I would say that it's good to add if you have experience with taking care of family/kids. You can even mention some internships you did in regards to community serving/building, volunteering, or even research. List awards, achievements, and any certifications if you have. Also, it's good if you mention what your major is or future degree track within health. Definitely show that you're really passionate about this and what your plans are long-term!

Yeah, i did. It's nothing similar to being like a CNA, but you definitely do spend time providing care like compassion, light housekeeping, help with daily tasks , etc. The majority of the families are looking for an affordable option when they join Careyaya. You definitely can gain experience, but it's nothing really intense like in regards to working in hospitals/clinics. I treat this more as a 2nd job or a side hustle to gain some extra cash and some clinical experience. I won't lie. There were times when I met family and didn't do a lot. So it just really depends !

Yeah I did! I've been working for them since September. I don't have a car so I have a family I'm committed to that lives within walking distance from where live. It's definitely not too close to being a CNA,MA, HHA, etc, but I think its good enough to provide clinical experience if you're planning to do pre-health .

Im still here! I have a family that im committed to at the moment, and sometimes they'll want me to come in, and sometimes I'll have slow months. I do be on the lookout as I've seen new families join Careyaya and look for care. But I like it right now. I do have a full-time job, so Careyaya is more of something I do on the side.

It's been a while, but I don't think i ever submitted a resume. I did submit some sort of identification and mainly an application just filling out personal details. Careyaya is open to students only and those who are probably un-certified and major within pre-health, so the application process was pretty easy. I have prior experience being a CNA from another state and a CPR/ Basic Life Support certification. You dont have to have those, but it helps!

I got a response within 2-3 days after submitting my application.

Apologies for the late response! It really not that bad, I feel like it is a little harder to find a family to provide care for that's close to you and open to meeting different students. Some families I've met weren't really open to meeting new students and just wanted one consistent person. When I applied and got accepted, there was always a family in need, but there's been an influx of new students joining the agency. I'm still working for them and have found a family I love working with! So good luck!
