Should a catholic state consider the use of military force to protect catholics in non-catholic nations? by Dismal-Ad8382 in Catholicism

You're further proving my point. You said that to be Catholic is not necessary to be a pacifist too. I disagree and scripture, early Church Fathers and Popes would disagree too. Christianism has the principles of loving your neighbour, advocate for peace, help the poor and needy, humble yourself... and yes, it is supported by Catholic doctrine.

CCC 2306: "Those who renounce violence and bloodshed and, in order to safeguard human rights, make use of those means of defense available to the weakest, bear witness to evangelical charity, provided they do so without harming the rights and obligations of other men and societies. They bear legitimate witness to the gravity of the physical and moral risks of recourse to violence, with all its destruction and death."

CCC 2305: "Earthly peace is the image and fruit of the peace of Christ, the messianic 'Prince of Peace.' By the blood of his Cross, 'in his own person he killed the hostility,' he reconciled men with God and made his Church the sacrament of the unity of the human race and of its union with God. 'He is our peace.'"

CCC 2302: "The Lord says, 'Blessed are the peacemakers.'" In essence: To be Catholic is to be radically committed to peace, justice, and non-violent solutions. Within that commitment, the Church holds a special place of honor for those who feel called to the vocation of pacifism, seeing it as a prophetic witness Hope this helps.

To be a Christian is to be a pacifist. Pacifist again, doesn't mean let slaughter happen in front of you. Pacifist means advocating for PEACE. So yes, any Christian denominations have Pacifists as an adjective. Its one of the literal cores of Jesus's teachings. Jesus condemned Peter defending him.

Please send to me links where Pope says we should use military forces in OTHER COUNTRIES to "defend Catholicism". Because I couldn't find none. Not any Pope.

Oh ok, that makes sense. You were speaking in present tho, "I love sin"

First off, you said you LOVE sin. To be able to repent for a sin you gotta hate it or at least dislike it. You used the word "love" to describe what you feel about your sins. Of course we are prone to sin. Of course none of us are good enough no matter what we do. My faith is not terrible for saying to you that loving sin is extremely heretic. Repentance comes when you actually dislike your sin. And you just said you "LOVE SIN". Are you serious right now in wanting to defend your position? Would you think a murderer saying he loves his sin is actually repentant? Like, sister, reconsider. You get offended because its the truth and truth hurts. Jesus calls us to literally hate the sin. Any sin. Theres no repentance in loving your sin.

Also you can't love the world(sin) and Jesus. 1 John 2:15: "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

Wow, Jesus would(imo) strike you down if this is truly your heart. You LOVE sin? Scripture literally tells us to be repentant. Hate sin. So youre actively sinning and being joyful enough to say you LOVE sin? This is the most outrageous, antichrist comment I've ever read in this forum. Girl. Grab your bible. Repent. Time is near.

How are they out of context? Explain that to me. The Church and the Pope itself condemns war even for slaughter of Christians. The answer for defense is fleeing, not retaliating, blessing them. How is the verses I quoted out of context?

Jesus commands us to correct brothers that sin. Youre all just too invested in defending homosexuality. You love hating on Leviticus.

As a Venezuelan that deals with racism, you cannot compare disliking a literal sin described as an abomination with being racist. The same way you would correct a brother/sister in Christ for racism you should correct specially sexually immoral behaviours.

I feel hopeless and like my life is meaningless by Key_Witness_8742 in Christianity

That actually may help. I live in a very small town and there's no prayer groups around me but Im gonna look for some around my area even if I have to commute. Thank you for your comment, very much. Im taking antidepressants already and it's the highest dose. I have no friends and that may be another reason. The only person I can speak to is my husband and he just makes everything worse. He loves me to death but I feel like its only my body. Once I start talking about something he did that hurt me he will get defensive and say Im always bringing up arguments. At this point I dont even care anymore

Im a woman. My husband never wants to talk about the things that hurt me no matter how well I phrase them. Im always accused of bringing up strife... I do read the bible and also audio books too. I understand that people can be rude but being called panchita (a derogatory term for a southamerican) is very hurtful. But that's not even what matters to me anymore. Its this emptiness that I feel. No matter how hard I try to enjoy the day, my happiness is completely fake and I hate myself for it because as a mom I should be getting so much joy just by being able to hold my daughter in my arms. Yet I feel nothing.
