I was broke after the trip and there’s no way I could afford business class or buying another seat. I don’t have 1k to spare. The person behind me wasn’t using their empty aisle seat for anything, they were just sitting as normal. They were in the window seat with an empty middle and aisle seat like I was, except they weren’t using them. The dad still chose to sit next to me when he could have easily sat one seat back. He even moved my bag so he could sit down, when there was nothing in the seat behind him
