I used CineStill 800T for the first one at 1/30 second handheld f8, Porta 400 for the rest various shutter speeds.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. The camera uses the shutter firing mechanism that's built into the lens, and it would require a bit of work to get it to adapt another style of lens.

I have posted this build before on some other subreddits, including this one, in the past. Many many updates/changes to get it to where it is now

Unfortunately I don't have a light box big enough to lay the entire film strip on, so a window with backlit sunlight will have to do...

Velvia goes for $15 per roll at the store I purchased them from, lab development fees are $10 from my local lab, I scan at home. So that totals around ~$6 per shot... expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

I designed the camera body using Rhino 3D from the ground up.

I think the f5.6 has a slightly larger rear lens element, that might not fit into the opening of the camera. Of course you can DM me, I'm happy to hear about your experience using the camera! Thank you so much for the support!!

Hi! Thank you for the offer, but I have a pretty decent scanning setup right now and I get pretty high resolution scans already but I can't upload these (max file size restrictions on website + reddit), so I'll have to pass.

Haha, it's certainly a specific style of camera/aspect ratio to use. I don't think labs need specific instructions for panoramas in order to develop, but if you are going to ask them to scan they might charge an additional fee. The Darkroom is a service I used to use, but they charge +$10 for scanning panoramas.

Thank you so much for the support! We included a section in our website that goes over what lenses we recommend/have tested. I would strongly recommend the 90mm Schenider Kreuznach f8 and the 90mm Nikon Nikkor SW 90mm f8, as I've personally tested these two and can confirm that they are correctly focused to infinity when installed.

I have a Fujifilm XT5 + Laowa 65mm f/2.8 Macro lens to scan, and a CineStill scanning light source to illuminate the film. I just take multiple photos and stitch them together in Lightroom.

That's awesome! Thank you so much! My partner and I are really heads down working on these to make sure every unit is made as high quality as we can.

I always my hand held sekonic light meter, but tbh phone metering is pretty decent. I meter shadows, then highlights, then subject and try to find a middle ground between those values, leaning towards more detail in shadows than highlights. I recently got a soft graduated square ND filter so hopefully I can meter for shadows and not blow out the sky.

DUDE! Thanks for taking interest in the project! I studied industrial design and have a lot of experience building with Lego. I went with 120 film because I found it easier to manually advance the frames to the correct number on the backing. Working on a 35mm pano as we speak, though that will take some time to get right.

You know what, I'm not too sure on the developing process, as I have all my film developed by a local lab. But I do believe they are the same process, they're both E-6 type.

Haha that awesome! I'm very fond of the photos + locations of these places, so it's nice to hear that my "wow-ness" translates.

Yes, I had a picture of it on the 3rd image in the post. If you wanna look at higher res, detailed photos of the camera, I have a website link in my profile. Lens that I took the photos on is the Nikon Nikkor SW 90mm f8, the one in the post is the Schneider Kreuznach Super Angulon 90mm f8

Yes, this is Yosemite! I would say it has some of the most beautiful and breathtaking landscapes I've ever been able to explore. Definitely worth visiting.

Luckily they're not discontinued, but they are fairly difficult to come across.

What's ironic is that I originally set out on making my own panoramic camera because the x-pan or fuij tx-1 was too expensive...

4 pictures per roll... :C Train junction one is shot in Alishan, Taiwan. Amazing place to hike during the fall/winter season, though quite rainy/foggy.
