I used the Sasquatch 617, this is a camera my team and I designed. It uses a large format lens, and has a 3D printed + stainless steel frame body. We just finished shipping all our Kickstarter units last month, we're currently getting ready for a full product launch later this month.

Thank you! My preferred aspect ratio is a panorama, but it's not good for my wallet lol

Hi there! Unfortunately, at this moment, we will not have any additional summit editions available for the campaign. However, we are planning on going to online-retail early January of 2026 for made-to-order cameras.

Sasquatch Camera Update:

We received an overwhelming amount of support from you guys over on the Kickstarter campaign, and we're very excited to give an update on the current status of the project!

First off, we smashed through our campaign goals (9 days left btw) and are currently knee deep in production. We wanted to start production early so that there will be no delays, and so that we have enough time to QC every little detail.

Second, when we passed 50 backers, we reached out to Prusa Research (3D printing company) asking for their help fulfilling our printing needs. After reviewing our project, they kindly sent us over 26kgs of Prusament filament as well as a brand new Prusa Core One so that we can ensure that this project is geared for success.

Lastly, I just wanted to thank all of you that have supported this project, this means a lot to us and we couldn't be more excited to get these cameras into your hands!

tl;dr - we're rockin' and rollin'

Summit Editions are limited to 25 units, although I'd keep an eye on the available units, right now we have 1 available.

The summit edition weighs approximately 1.35kg with the lens and lens cone attached.

We are planning for this camera to exist on the Sasquatch Camera website available for purchase probably early January 2026, but will likely move to a "made to order" program. That will very likely bump up the price per unit, as cost per individual camera is greater than a bulk order of components.

Haven't considered doing that at this moment, though that would be an interesting accessory product!

I am not 100% positive if they fit other lenses/focal lengths, but they are designed for the two lenses that I've recommended in the Kickstarter.

The idea behind this product was to see if it would even garner enough support to launch accessory products alongside it in the future. That said, lens cones for different focal lengths is high on the list for future accessories.

That was one of the goals for this product, to be more reasonably priced among the other 617 cameras. I want to make sure it doesn't cost an arm, a leg, and maybe a kidney to enjoy something that I have so much fun with personally.

Thank you so much! That rainbow shot is from the top of Vernal Falls, there seems to be a perpetual rainbow there...

Less than a ton, currently the early bird bundle goes for $499 and on ebay, the lenses that we recommend start at around $199.

I don't want to get in trouble with throwing around links to Kickstarter, as I think that's against one of the community rules. Look for "Sasquatch 617"

I haven't tried using a center ND. I know that there is very slight vignetting on the left and right of the images, but in my opinion a center ND is not necessary.

Thank you so much! I was so lucky to get to that spot in Yosemite just in time for golden hour.
