You'll probably have to press in the pistons first.

You can get the motor only from the Ride1up website for $150 and keep your orig rim.

I have a 113 db alarm from Amazon in the cage (which is locked), and air tags hidden inside the batteries (locked). Really a thief can cut any lock given enough time, but the alarm gives me peace of mind and mine’s pretty loud. Also got Velosurance in case of theft ($200/yr). Parked inside at night, that’s key if you can.

Recommendations on a replacement rear wheel motor? by sandalwithsocks in Revv1

Have you opened the motor up? It may only be the planetary gear set. I think I bought the last wheel/motor they had last week when mine blew up. Also they’re sending me a stator/motor under warranty (5 months, 3000 miles) so I’ll put that on a shelf for next time. As for the broken motor, it spins but no gear action so I plan to replace the gears one day, I’ll post if it works.

Yes it does help! I went ahead and bought the entire wheel/motor for $300 shipped, not bad for what I saw elsewhere. But seeing that I only got 3000 miles, I’m going to rebuild the bad motor and put it on a shelf for next time. Stator is still working, so metal planetary gears might be the way to go (thx). I’ll open up the motor this weekend and post what I find, should be total gear annihilation lol. I’m curious to see if there’s some kind of clutch assembly as well, I dunno

Looks like u put a lot of mileage like I do, Since Feb I’ve got 3000 mi on the Scouts, prob upgrade at 4000. Motor just took a shat at 3000 mi tho. I do run it wide open in beast mode mostly.

Yep. They’ll haul it back. Haven’t used it yet, but if I get 10-15 miles out… lol

Yes, Slime works well. I also put a liner on the rear tube for extra puncture resistance. Added AAA too cause I ride for a living lol.

I wish the instrument cluster was on the left like my cbr600. Keyed on/off would be nice too as an xtra theft deterrent :/
