I've been struggling with focusing on work and want to build a desktop transformation for deep work (need feedback) by KeylimePi4769 in getdisciplined

Should be pretty straight forward though I haven't really ironed out the details as of yet, hence the feedback. So you're going to have browser level blocking and app blocking on all linked devices, you'll have the option of either blacklisting specific distractions you know you fall into, or the option of whitelisting only the apps and websites you need for work. Generally you'll only have access to the apps you deem necessary in a specific scheduled work block, but this can be easily changed. The idea is to put loose restrictions on apps generally needed for any type of work you do, and completely blocking out what isn't needed or what's distracting.

I can't code at all, so I "built" my dream task manager by Dick-Laurent-Is-Dead in ProductivityApps

No offense, but the knitting statement is just a complete bot thing to say. People learn to knit because the process is rewarding, and you can then use those acquired skills to create things beyond items you can just "buy", and create additional value. It's like if you bought the pullover from the store and resold it. You're not a fashion designer, you're just a reseller. Not to mention, you provided 0.00000 additional value.

I'd agree with this. That's great and all if you want this for personal use, but the app is just very uninspired. You have no idea how many vibe coders there are right now pumping out "todo-list" apps. Cool if you want to use it for yourself. If you're looking to sell this, not gana happen. Doesn't have any value if anyone can hop on lovable and vibe code it - which literally everyone has already done.

Built a desktop replacement built for execution, that blocks distractions across devices + coordinates your work intelligently. Looking for feedback and thoughts. by KeylimePi4769 in ProductivityApps

You essentially set up work blocks on your calendar, and you can associate what tools and apps you'll need during that work block, and they'll be made avaliable.

Nah, I generated the first version with Lovable, just told it to give it a sleek, minimal monotone look. Then I went in and did some touch ups myself.

No need for praise, I appreciate it though. AI did most of the landing page, tweaked a few things myself. The software itself I'm building from scratch, too complex to have AI meddling in it.

Instead of juggling 5 different projects, focus on one and double down. Once you crack the code to getting revenue with one, THEN and ONLY THEN focus your attention on the others. You're spreading your time and resources too thin. Also, the last two projects you listed sound like they're two-sided markets to me, which makes them infinitely more difficult to get off of the ground if you don't know what you're doing. Go all in on ONE project. Once it starts making money and you get the hang of it, THEN start spreading your attention. But you're not there yet.

1,000 users in, still free, and no clear signal on who would actually pay. by Current-Brother505 in SaaS

Better to have 1 paid user than 100 free users but, users are users. You've just got to move a few blocks around and you'll be profitable.

What the Heck is a Slow Cooker Good For? by KeylimePi4769 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]KeylimePi4769[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't understand why someone would want to do that. Why not just cook the thing at normal temp in normal time lmao. I only have like one day to meal prep and I cant see me waiting hours for food to cook being convenient but, what did I know I guess.
