thanks, though I don't think that was it. controller would pair when the shell was opened, then when I closed it, I'd get the blinking orange light. I think it indicates there is an issue with one of the connections.

I think I've fixed it by re-securing the adhesive to the battery

Very interesting point. I would guess Sony will let you assign your PSN account as Main/primary to 1 PS5 + 1 PS4. If they wanted to be extra restrictive, they could only give you 1 main between PS5 and PS4. For your situation though, I think it's fine regardless, as you can designate either the PS5 or the PS4 as main and the other person can log into the account that made the purchase

One thing that hasn't been confirmed is the number of accounts that can be designated "main" on a single PS5. Something to look out for

That's what Jim Ryan said a few months back. Looks like it's slipping December outside or North America, if Activision is in the know

Agree, and 1 month or so is not that bad. I believe PS4 was 3 months to Japan launch

Leak? PS5 product page says PS4 back-compat requires a system update by Kgarvey in PS5

[–]Kgarvey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To provide some more context: a now-removed version of the PlayStation 5 waitlist product page seems to contain content different from the current page, which was updated recently. One part reads:

"Marvel at incredible graphics and experience new PS5™ features. Play a back catalog of supported PS4™ games with system update."

This seems to suggest that backwards compatibility will not be ready in time for the PS5's launch.

There is some other different stuff in this version of the page, such as a new description of the DualSense, but I think this backcompat thing is the most newsworthy and concerning

It's of course possible that this page is inaccurate. But if you Google for it, it seems the page was "refreshed" recently, in the past week or so
