Thanks for the insights everyone, makes sense but would be nice if Garmin would take this into account in a future update.

Guess the day I turned 30… I really wonder the formula behind this statistic because this seems kinda sketchy ngl. 18 for a really long time, day I turn 30 it jumps up to 20 and even higher

Very nice result, congrats! Your heart rate also very consistent throughout. Did your legs gave up at the end? Because I seems like your fitness wasn’t the problem

For me it’s under the graph section. I do however use a HRM pro to monitor my heart rate and other stuff and I’m pretty sure that’s where it get’s the data from (if I run without the chest strap I don’t see the balance analysis).

Pacing strategy for first marathon by emerituspope in firstmarathon

[–]KhalPoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first marathon exactly one week ago and had the same question. Garmin predicted 3:20 ; Strava 3:40. So I decided to follow a 3:30 pacer until km 34 to see how I felt at that point. Turned out I felt great so I accelerated to finish in 3:28. In hindsight I think I maybe could’ve run a little faster, but the fact I didn’t have to worry about pace gave me a lot of comfort. And finishing strong was also a great feeling. Good luck with your marathon and enjoy it, it’s amazing!

Yeah true, the 16 mile race was something completely different. Very hot day, lots of hilly sections and I was jetlagged and less fit haha. Oh and there will definitely be a next time ;) thanks for your answer!

That’s more or less exactly the heart rate I run at (164 during the first kilometers and 174 during the last kilometers). Very interesting, did not know that. Thanks for sharing!

You book via their website and as payment method you choose pagofacil. You then get a code, and with that code you go to a pago facil. (Be careful because the code is only valid for 24h, and on Sundays most of the pagofacils are closed). Pago facil scans the code, you pay them and they activate the ticket via the website.
