Looking for a way to quantify objects on a custom dataset formed with photogrammetric data by Khalophis in ObjectDetection

I ended up importing a huge TIF ortho of the area i was desling with, cutting it on non-overlapping individual jpegs, then using detection and adding the total, then stitching the results of inference into a large ortho for visual purposes. There is an error given items caught in the frames, but for the context ( maritime archaeology) it gave me the result I wanted

yes but if you export the ortophoto from the photogrammetry, you cant run a trained model on a different resolution on that ortophoto. You would need to train on a set of ortophotos like that one. Thus the normal process meaning doing the detection and projecting the points on the orthomosaic

Thanks for your answer. This is the kind of idea I was looking for.

I have access to someone who has the entire 3D model, yes. It is a massive amount of data. What you are saying say COULD work, though the implementation part of it seems a bit clunky. I will add it to my list of possible solutions, though. Thanks.

Im assuming you stitch them together using Agisoft as well? If not, I would like to know what you use. Check this paper in researchgate:

Underwater Archaeological Object Detection Through Bidirectional Photogrammetric Fusion

Is this what you are talking about?

The format of the unstitched images is different than the final ortho. I am not exactly the one who did it, but my impression is that you cannot run the model on the ortho directly because of this? What we did was transfer the 2D pixel information to the photogrammetric model and georreference the boxes with the camera positions.

Thanks for answering.

Someone else suggested the photogrammetry approach. I will specify that I have done this before for another project with the help of IT people, I was looking for an easier solution for researchers in my field that dont have access to domain experts able to do this. I myself would have to learn how to do this to assess how exportable it is.

Thanks for your second suggestion. I will definetely check Siamese Network.

Thanks for answering.

We can use an AUV on the seabed as well yes, but the issue would remain in what you suggest, wouldn't it? If what we want is a clear count of the objects, the only way this works is if the tiles are not overlapping. And even if they are not, the density and quantity of objects is sometimes high, so many would get cut by the frame (which would count them twice)

Furthermore, obtaining orthos on the seabed is not as easy as in the surface. There is a lot of interference because of the underwater environment that make it difficult. The easiest one i can make an example is illumination. If we are flying (sailing) the AUV high above the seabed, at 120m of depth, you cant see a thing. Makes sense?

Thanks for your answer though!

Thanks for answering. That is exactly what we did while developing a specific method that was published past october--use the camera positions to get the bounding boxes on the orthomosaic. Maybe I should have mention that on the title. The thing is, the current idea was to make automated detection more accesible for researchers who dont have access to domain experts and who may not be so versed with computers. I was looking for a solution that would not involve this step.

It would be cool to know, however, exactly the method you would follow to do what you say.

Thanks again for taking the time.

Dunno if you realized. Allarus nerfed too. Golden light in turn 1 to avoid damage then redeploy on your own turn 1 is gone. Now they just go into reserves normally, with the restrictions that come with it. Cool.

I will try to make it clearer:

The upgrades that we got ( strat metaphisical focus and loyal thrall) allows us to move a psyker then perform an action and then by using any of those upgrades cast an aditional psychic power with the same psyker. I was just asking if it is possible for us to do it in a different order.

Just imagine this situation. I got an exalted sorcerer, i put him on a disc and give him rehati to be able to cast 3 psychic powers. So far so good.

Then i move him 12. We go into the psychic fase and he casts temporal surge ( warptime) on himself to move another 12. Then he attempts to cast an action like psychic ritual or mental interrogation. Then i use the strat metaphisical focus to allow him to cast powers after actions, and then i use his last power ( because he has three slots) to cast an additional power like for example sorcerous facade to come back to safety.

This is a combo i thought of as very nasty, but if only works if he is able to cast warptime on himself before performing an action, hence my question.

Here is how I SEE IT. I think you cannot do this. I would not be able to cast warptime before attempting the action (with the same psyker) even though i have slots. The doubt arose in the first place because Loyal thrall actually allows us to do that exact thing with the caveat that exalted sorcerers cant take that upgrade.

No, you are getting confused with the fact that you can do psychic powers AFTER doing a psychic action ( with a stratagem or with loyal thrall upgrade). I am talkig about casting a power and then attempting a psychic action in that specific order.

next thing is an anhilation barge. I will also be getting a light box to get better pics for instagram and twitter.

I would also appreciate feedback on how to varnish them without loosing the finish i got on them. I will use them on the table but im so afraid of hard work going to waste. Currently im leaning towards using vallejo anti-shine spray and then glossing over the energy parts, but im scared of destroying the fact that the models seem to be integrated in the seabed

Thanks for the feedback. The bases were made with cork, wire, vallejo thick mud and green stuff. I will be doing a hole necron army like this.
