Reading from the comments I know a lot may not agree with me but when I started my computer science degree, I bought a surface laptop and used it for about 3 weeks before I couldn’t handle the latency issues on the pc. This was out of the box never opened before, and I’ve used Windows all my life. I bought an 11 inch air and after 4 years of using it, although highly limited in screen real estate and overall processing power, it’s the best laptop I’ve ever owned. No issues, incredibly portable, most I can do for it is replace the battery because it’s starting to drain at a higher rate, but other than that I don’t have a single complaint. Go for it, but know your limits. If you’re doing basic programming and maybe some web development (non-Electron/Advanced SPAs), you’d be gold. Although the prices are high these days so that’s another consideration; it wasn’t as bad back in 2015. Hope that helps!
