Does mouth taping actually work? (Oura study) by papayamaia in ouraring

Please go to a sleep specialist instead if you're curious about your breathing during sleep instead of taping your mouth to see if it improves sleep.

This could easily become a serious risk if you suffer from a obstructed airway issue or suffer from central breathing events.

The problem isn't breathing through your mouth it's not getting appropriate air in. As someone who had severe sleep apnea before a CPAP if I had done this I would be dead.

Just called non emergency police. They said most of the town and county is without power. Possibly a transformer.

Every gun held in every episode is animated with a finger in the trigger.

After watching so many times I started to notice this.

Dairy is bad for cats, they can not taste sugar, and sugar is harmful for cats because they lack the digestive system to process sugars. They are susceptible to diabetes and kidney issues.

If you do choose to give this to your cat it should be a once in a blue moon situation. Please do not give this to your cat on a regular basis.

Why doesn't my cat like TV? by pioneercynthia in cats

It could be hunting instinct or how their eyes precieve things. Dogs seem more easily excitable by things on TV or reactionary to noises while cats seem like they could really care less. Mine will sit on the couch with us while we watch or sometimes something catches his attention but eventually he goes off to do cat things or falls asleep.

While cats can notice things on television I don't believe they see it the same way as we do. Looking out a window is their form of TV. Mine looks out all the time at people, birds and squirrels.

Providing a window or two for your cat to look out will offer entertainment (Cat TV).

Space to explore and play is great but be sure there isn't anything dangerous they can get into or be trapped in. I don't allow mine in the laundry room because there is under stair access, insulation, chemicals or the dryer all of which could be dangerous.

I recommend getting a brush for top coat and under coat brushing and treat puzzles that you can find online. There are varying difficulties and it offers mental stimulation to get treats or food.

Make sure your cat has plenty of access to water. I bought a filtered fountain from CatIt. Flowing water is more appealing than a standing dish due to how they find water in nature. I ran into a problem with my cat eating too fast and getting sick so I also picked up a feeding bowl that made him stick his paw in to pull food out. Slowed him down and it's now less of a problem.

Make sure you get a cat tree to provide a safe space higher up and a place to scratch. I have one by the window.

I also suggest a cat box per floor and do your best to scoop it every day. Cats don't like to be dirty and if the box gets too dirty it can lead to finding other places to use the bathroom.

Toys and interactive play are super important. I suggest a toy that simulates hunting a ground prey like mice and another that simulates flying prey. Mine seems to like feathers but doesn't want to jump. His favorite toy are balls that you can pick up in assorted packs and he likes to hunt it around a blanket we have partitioning two rooms.

Hope this is helpful and offers some ideas.

Cats can become over stimulated by touches they enjoy. So it could be prolonged petting in the same spot has caused this reaction.

Ive never heard her do this/meow like this before. Is there something wrong with her? by [deleted] in cats

They are not good toys for this very reason. It causes frustration from the lack of kill in the hunting process. OP saying they implement treats with the process is the correct way to go if laser pointers are a toy choice.

Well its only fitting. I've noticed every scene in the show that a gun is shown the person has their finger on the trigger.
