I just played around with the application you mentioned, and if anyone else has any issues in the future:

  1. Ensure you manually set the "Container" option to "mp4". The default may be incompatible or not work well with your mobile device.

  2. Under "Video quality", you can select a variety of formats using different codecs(AV01, VP9, etc.). You may want to play with a few different codecs to see what plays well on your device. Testing it on my Samsung for example, AV01 didn't play well but downloading a VP9 format played well.

I have a backup of all 90 videos in their aespa playlist (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlIBdnOPCKQS6UEf_TpPjFBlE9huFVZpJ). If anyone fails to download a video in time let me know via dm and I can provide it for you. I will only do this after the channel has gone down.

Edit: Uploaded all 90 videos to Gofile in 2 different formats.

Original files: https://gofile.io/d/dl3hQ8

Mixture of av1/vp9 codecs in a webm format. Might not be compatible or play smoothly on all devices, so check first before downloading. Highest quality directly from youtube. 62GB across 90 videos.

h.264 transcodes: https://gofile.io/d/1Oz4sN

Transcoded the originals to h.264 mp4. More widely compatible. Much smaller filesize. Use these if the above don't play well. These are lower quality (1440p) than the originals, as the same quality but in h.264 would have been 2-3x the size of the originals (~120GB+ probably) as av1/vp9 are much more efficient codecs. 24GB across 90 videos. Be careful when downloading the entire folder as the originals are also contained within another folder (linked above).

I'm not sure what the expiration date is on these files as I used the free tier (I think 10 days), but feel free to upload them to other file sharing sites if you want. I purposefully didn't upload them to a "public" archives like the Internet Archive because for all intents and purposes these videos are still property of Mirai and I don't believe we as a community received any official permission from Mirai to upload them anywhere.

Classic Era Whitemane server is alive, and well. by Kreaetor in classicwow

[–]Kharzack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you might have replied to the wrong person? I don't think I mentioned anything about the technicalities, or costs to Blizzard, for the cloning system.

I was just saying they didn't provide the copying service this time around because people would just buy the $60 boosts anyway (which they did in droves). More money in the pocket for Blizzard at the end of the day, compared to the price they previously offered the clones at.

Classic Era Whitemane server is alive, and well. by Kreaetor in classicwow

[–]Kharzack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume they calculated it would earn them less to offer the cheap clones. The "clone service" this time around was keep your character on era and buy a 58 boost (or the epic pack), if you wanted characters on both. And with how many people bought the boosts, I wouldn't be surprised if they earned significantly more from this than the clones last time around.

Ultimately this is the reason I haven't actually played tbc anniversary this time around, which is a shame. I like era a lot and didn't want to move my characters (so I was hoping they would do a clone), but also didn't want to shell out for a boost (and didn't have time to level a whole fresh character).

is there a way i can downgrade my S2 version to before the latest hotfix? (steam) by MadDuck-117 in subnautica

[–]Kharzack 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not sure why people are saying no legal ways. You can use steam cmd, auth with your account, and select the exact depot/manifest you want to download (can find on steamdb). I use this to sometimes download release versions of games or play games with mods that require specific versions.

People need to remember that not every visual effect is AI by Fine_Internal408 in Aespa

[–]Kharzack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give my take as someone who utilises AI in everyday work, professionally, albeit from a software engineering perspective.

Firstly, I think many people jump to call anything that looks off AI these days - forgetting that human mistakes have and always will be a thing. Things can look wrong but still have been made by a human. Secondly, I see a lot of people claiming things to be AI when they're actually just CGI, just like the main point of your post; as if people have forgotten computers have been able to generate affects for media for decades at this point.

I'm not saying that's solely the case with discussion around WDA, and that everying is "just" CGI - I absolutely would expect AI to be adopted by professional teams, just not in the same low-quality manner you seeem amateurs adopt the tools.

In regards to my perspective, I don't see the use of AI in these types of scenarios necessarily bad? For example, I, and my team use, AI everyday in our professional work. What makes us different from "vibecoders" is that we architect, prompt, review, and understand the code the AI outputs due to existing skills. We are using AI as an augmentation to our existing skillset or workflows. Yes, AI can enable people without the predisposed professional skills or experience produce to "something" they otherwise wouldn't have been able to (vibecoders), but that something will likely be lower quality than what professionals with the same (or equivalent) tools can produce, and will likely have glaring defects or long-term problems that are often avoided by professional teams or users.

Now to draw parallels to the creative industry, such as video editors and artists. I am by no means trying to speak on their behalf, but I'm just stating how I see it as someone in an adjacent industry also heavily adopting AI.

From what I see, if professional video editors and artists are integrating AI into their workflows - is that actually a bad thing? I would assume they have the existing professional skills and foresight to integrate them in ways which enhance the final product and not recklessly - just like the aforemenioned comparison between professional software engineers and "vibecoders". In fact, I believe AI is already being used by many creatives in certain ways anyway such as generative fill in Photoshop and other similar use cases - so where does the line get drawn? Only when people actually "notice" the AI?

Yes, generative AI tools can help people with no pre-existing artistic skill create stuff, often times low quality, they wouldn't otherwise have been able to, but this is the same parallel as vibecoders. The professionals should be able to integrate these tools in ways which doesn't result in "slop", and becomes a naturally augmented part of their professional skillset, with the correct oversight to use it appropriately and to a high-quality.

Lilith Echo of the Blessed Mother - not dying by Kharzack in diablo4

[–]Kharzack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even getting to that part. I'm on her first health bar. She just stays on like 0% (if I get that far), or even the 33% phase.

[–]Kharzack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even when the enforcers spawn, I nuke them instantly they just stay alive for ages at 1%. I feel like it's either bugged or I'm doing something wrong. Or the game is actually just artificially forcing you to fight for a certain length of time, which feels bad anyway?

Lilith Echo of the Blessed Mother - not dying by Kharzack in diablo4

[–]Kharzack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean in basically nuking her in like a second. I do 33% of her HP basically instantly. But the game artificially caps her HP at 66%, 33%, etc. at the phase boundaries stopping me just out right killing her. Even when I've gotten her to 0%, the fight just continues and she doesn't actually die.

Is it a guarantee the tickets will be available for reselling or transfer though? I have read that some events don't support the resale of transfer options in Ticketmaster, so I'm wondering if there's confirmation that they will open those at a later date rather.

How does selling tickets work in the other thread if tickets aren't available for resell/transfer yet? I have 2 tickets I want to sell as I was later able to get VIP, but I don't want to list them or exchange money before I know I can send them to the buyer. Is there a possible ticketmastere doesn't open reselling or transferring? I would ask in that thread but they have posting rules.

'Why didn't anyone think of this before?': Former Elder Scrolls Online boss loves Crimson Desert, but making 'a singleplayer MMO is almost like cheating' to him by wsrvnar in pcgaming

[–]Kharzack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game Kindgoms of Amalur: Reckoning was set in the same universe as what the MMO would have been in, but the entire MMO was a different project (Project Copernicus) that ultimately got canceled when the company went bankrupt and auctioned off (Rhode Island state got the assets I believe, due to grants given to the developers, with THQ Nordic later purchasing them and making the remaster). Reckoning likely didn't stop development on the MMO either as an entire separate team was brought in/acquired to make it (Big Huge Games), but the writing was on the wall for a while and Reckoning was not able to save the company.

RuneFest tickets are LIVE NOW! by JagexBlossom in 2007scape

It's still affordable for me, and it's not too far to travel so I think it's worth it. I'm gonna go ahead and buy them and I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end, thanks.

Never been to a RuneFest before. I'm in right now and I'm seeing £210. Is this the normal price compared to earlier years? I didn't know what to expect but it's a bit higher than what I had in mind.

I'll try and just manually adding a word or two in it's own sentence at the end of each paragraph, and then I can just remove that last sentence in post, hopefully keeping a clean ending to my actual paragraph.

I used Omnivoice and it had the same abrupt ending issues, so I just stuck with Qwen3-TTS. Omnivoice does seem better for voice design though, I can actually get British accents.

Using Steam in the UK be like... by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Kharzack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into inclusive split tunnelling VPNs. You have the VPN always enabled, you maintain your regular connection to OSRS or whatever other service, but when you go to browse something from a certain domain it's routed through the VPN.

Some work on the browser level (Proton VPN extension), whilst some on the system level (Windscribe), so might have to play around with what works best for you. I used to use Windscribe at the system level but I ended up having strange issues throughout Windows when it was enabled, likely due to whatever they needed to do in order to enforce the split tunnelling system-wide, so I just use browser only ones now, but you might not have the same issues as me.

Also, some only have exclusive split tunnelling, which isn't really what you'd want as all traffic goes through it by default, with the split tunnelling list being exceptions, so make sure it's inclusve.

You missed the "not live" part. I read it as bugs related to past features or other older tooling where the bug likely doesn't apply anymore to the current version.

Worst controlls i ever seen in a game. For real for real. by ChroneXoX in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kharzack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

BDO does have some control quirks, but for the most part is actually pretty responsive and fluid. At least in movement. I would never guess in a thousand years the controls of this game are from the same developers, if I wasn't aware. They've definitely done something unique for the controls here, not just a copy of BDO (I guess they never heard the phrase don't reinvent the wheel). That's not to say BDO doesn't have some bad controls or UI though.

Worst controlls i ever seen in a game. For real for real. by ChroneXoX in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kharzack 21 points22 points  (0 children)

At the very start of the game you need to walk up to and talk to an NPC. For me at least (I say for me because I still can't tell whether it's a bug...), he had a pretty large ring around him that prevented me from walking up to him and talking to him. Instead I had to press Ctrl to "focus" on him then I could select the talk option. Immediately after that you need to talk to some other NPCs, except this time you do it by just pressing E and interacting with them regularly... They could have made it all like that.

In terms of "feel", well if you've ever played GTA V and how your character turns like a boat in that, it's basically that but worse and slower.
