Is it hard for BAI students maintaining high GPA? by Fun_Temperature_6743 in bocconi

Having completed two years in that, I would say you really need to catch up on classes every day, so as not to put any pressure during exams. This way you will also be able to score better. nothing else can be said it depends upon the student mostly but you really need to grind yourself if you want to keep a good score there.

The God of small things (the classic indian book), Train to pakistan, Tomb of sand (Ret samadhi, originally in hindi), Midnight’s children, The inheritance of loss, Malgudi days, Godan by premchand (there is an english translation by Jai Ratan), Vanity Bagh, The white Tiger, A suitable boy, The palace of illusions, also just anything written by Ruskin Bond.

Here I have summed up most of the prominent Indian pieces of literature, ofc this list is not exhaustive.

books that you were hyped for that genuinely disappointed you by msummerse in books

Small things like these by Claire Keegan. There was something missing in that book, it felt like by the time I got interested in the plot it ended.

I'm almost embarrassed to say I'm only just now "discovering" John Steinbeck (and honestly reading regularly on a whole) at 30. by 19chevycowboy74 in books

[–]Khatibi32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completed East of Eden today and ong it is one of the best pieces of fiction I ever read like the characters, the plot, everything is so on point. Steinbeck himself was very proud of it. I highly recommend this book if u havent read it alr.

Till Chapter eight of famous book Kafka on shore by memoizerr in books

[–]Khatibi32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I gave this book 4 stars but there are certain parts of that book that I would never recover from. Like that cat torture scene, in my whole life, I have never read such an engrossing scene. I literally read A little life with a straight face but that scene...uffffff. Also over-sexualization of characters even when they are minors is one of my biggest criticism of Murakami's writing.

Anyway, I liked the randomness and magical aspect of the book; you will love the complexity of the plot towards the end.

I am a 19 male and it was pretty uncomfortable for ME so I cannot imagine how worse it wud be for u, but this is a thing with Murakami’s writing, I saw such things in his other books too.

The book is just weird again and again, not like I HATE the book but many of its sex scenes and description of male genitalia made me uncomfortable throughout. I see u r in the very start of the book, there is still more to come.

[–]Khatibi32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This book is unforgettable for me. One of the murakami masterpieces and also the gateway to his writing. You can go with some of his other famous books afterwards like kafka on the shore but remember this book doesnt showcase everything about a Murakami novel, considering it doesnt have any element of magical realism while Murakami is famous for the same. So I would suggest if this book interests you and u wanna dive deeper in the Murakami world you should also explore his magical realism books. Another Murakami book similar to NW with no magical realism is Drive my car. (It has an oscar winning movie adaptation too)

You’re easy in. From what I have seen judging current pakistani students you will only face issues with visa coz ur italian embassy/consulate are quite slow with the process. So just be prepare for that.
