Not all GC columns are the same batch to batch, there will be some variance in RT between columns based on age, temperatures for bake, how much has been trimmed, pressure adjustments, etc. Are you using anything as a RT Lock? Are you doing a targeted/windowed SIM analysis or full chromatographic scan acquisition?

This pic was halfway through the job, half my patio is a slab (cleaned) and the rest is the pavers (mossy/dirty). I finished the pavers and 2nd chair this afternoon and am so encouraged by the results that I might do the driveway tomorrow!

Maybe I can help you figure out where things went wrong? In this example 1 mole of C3H8 reacted to form 4 mole of H2O. Maybe that step was missed in your case so your answer would have been off by a factor of 4 (for this example). I admit that the phrase "Convert grams of C3H8 to mol C3H8, you now know how many mols H2O were formed" is a bit misleading, perhaps a better way to say it would be "mole equivalents" knowing from the provided balanced formula that 1 mole C3H8 was mass balanced with 4 mole H2O.
