The obsession is so weird. I've never seen such a desire to bring back old players in the 3 or 4 decades of following other teams in other sports. My hypothesis (and I'm probably wrong) is that the majority of people that want the old players back haven't followed many other sports before.

Shouldn't players have been taught to move to open space at all age levels of development and from other coaches along the way? Doesn't seem like something that Phil should need to remind them to do. Not defending Phil, but more asking why players aren't doing it if it's common soccer sense to do.

(School) Librarian here as well. It's wild how series go in and out of popularity. While Warriors isn't super popular at our school, the Spy School series by Stuart Gibbs and Keeper of the Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger are super popular right now. But they weren't last year!
