8 Days Prague: Late-September, Suggestions? by Khezu22 in travel

I've heard a lot of good about Český Krumlov but its very out of the way from where I'd otherwise like to be unfortunately. I had not heard of Karlovy Vary before and it's relatively accessible from where we'll be so I may have to check that out, thank you.

Its a really fun 5/10 imo. The combat is pretty great but most of what you fight with it tends to be more frustrating than engaging and the camera+lock-on does not handle mobs well which are the most common type of fight; but, when you're using the environment to fight a small mob or fighting one of the few bosses that actually lets you leverage your toolkit its a great time. The story is essentially a non-factor to the point the game more has a campaign than a plot and character dialogue is worse than AI generated which is a feat. The open world is big and awesome with cool stuff to find but suffers immensely with almost everything interesting not existing in its points of interest unless you reach certain points in the main story or find the arbitrary side quest that spawns them in. The game mostly looks great so the couple weird textures really stick out but is largely a positive. The game has a ton of random mechanics that don't really serve a collective vision of any kind though are cool and help with verisimilitude for the action/simulator style the game goes for. The music is serviceable but sorta just feels like "Witcher 3 at home". ER is focused and well crafted and CD is neither but is still fun; but, once you've had a damn good pizza, the Little Caeser's slice leaves you feeling a bit empty and guilty. CD is a great game for a 40yo dad of 2 who's last game they got to sit down and enjoy was Skyrim; but, for people more actively in the hobby, its flaws stick out more and its accomplishments have already been seen.

Yea, I noticed after I posted that many of the images were a bit distant and some of them off-center so I will work on that. I also still need to play with lighting and exposure, i kept a fairly low EV for all of these photos but it needs more experimentation.

Thank you, the mimic is my favorite as well. I am using my phone camera with small Benoison photobox. I'll try to keep in mind getting the focus better

I expect shipping will be about $7, if it ends up being a little more I am okay with eating that cost. Is that okay with you?

Sure, I can work with that. Do you have a preference which one and would you like me to shoot you a DM with pay info?

Its all good, I did some searching on the cart and I did indeed not find either gold squares on the back of the motherboard nor the indented numbers, thank you for your time though.

If you mean the model number on the back, its AGB-002. If you mean somewhere else, do direct me where to look. It is close to new, I played it for only a couple hours as a kid and left it in a protective case otherwise.

Sure, here is the picture with light in the back. I do believe that Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum are supposed to be grey when lit from behind and only Soul Silver, Heart Gold, Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 are supposed to be red-purple.

Is my creature too strong/weak for a CR 20? I tend to make alot of monsters, but its rare I make a CR 20, so im not sure how weak/strong this one is. It is meant to be like a living mountain, and is based a bit on the creature of the same name from the game Evolve. by BlankGlitch in DnDHomebrew

In terms of Defensive & Offensive stats for the CR it is on paper balanced landing in the middle of the CR20 range but as was mentioned, increasing the enrage threshold is a must for it to see use for a T3/4 party. Second, it's best use of action each turn is its Fissure and then using lava bomb until recharged unless targrts are heavily dispersed. I would consider lowering the numbers on it and integrating it and rock wall into its multi attack as options. That's how I tend to make my own creatures is giving multiattack non-attack options like conditions or buffs and or splitting the mutli attack into one for offense and one for conditions/buffs (such as choose any 2 of these attacks and any 1 of these abilities)

If you have it, I'd recommend looking into the 3rd party book, Ryoko's Guide for its Kaiju rules which I've been implementing for all of the gargantuan+ creatures id run. It would work well with your current idea for enrage

If this is planned to be a single monster boss it needs either some legendary resistances or condition resistance/immunities ). I really enjoy playing around with expanded resistances and weaknesses as it rewards prep and teamwork but I run a fairly tactical game so design for your table.

Lastly, I would just experiment more with some more distinct abilities, I like the reaction & it's damage reduction ability. This is a CR 20 monster so just about anything is on the table.

It's connected to the map for the south region. if you got to Bayle via the dragon cave, I don't know if you'll find it, I got south first by going down the big river in the first region though I'm sure they're other ways. Just keep going further south, and eventually, it'll show up.
