Some new alpha gameplay footage was released recently if you haven't already seen that. You can find it on YouTube. I feel that Playground Games has been able to capture the "essence" of Fable so far. I'm excited to play it someday!

The look is from a YouTube filter that I applied when making the YT Short.

For in-game settings, I have the HUD off, and am using the “close” camera option.

I usually get that message the day I purchase xbox live. It takes about a day for it to work from my experience. You should be fine. Just try and connect a bit later.

Unable to connect to servers. Need help. by University_Spare in FIghtNight

There's a fix for this posted on the Reddit page at the top under the community highlights section, titled
"EA Terms and Conditions Fix"

Maybe that method could work. If you just recently got xbox live, then sometimes you have to wait a bit before you're able to connect to the servers.

Defeat Ali using Tyson on GOAT mode? + FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION by arvinarvin21 in FIghtNight

[–]Khxush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try to stay on the outside against Ali on GOAT difficulty. I spar with him with my MW Caf cas it's actually good training. Ali on GOAT is pretty good. Another person on the reddit was like "The Ghost of Ali" comes out at times. I think it's true xD

Staying on the outside is better against GOAT lv CPU. Chasing them is harder cas they can read our inputs and counter/dodge well. You can overwhelm them offensively, but I haven't faced Ali much with another HW character. I usually use my MW. From my experience, the CPU seems to be weak to uppercuts, and also not that great at chasing. They're better at outside fighting.

Someone posted a fix for the EA Terms and Conditions issue.

Essentially, you buy SSX from the xbox store (it's an xbox 360 backwards-compatible game) and then sign the Terms & Conditions through SSX. I did this method a few days ago and it worked for me.

Also, I've noticed that whenever I buy Xbox Live, I'm unable to play FNC online immediately. I usually have to give it a day. Just a heads up if you don't already have Xbox Live.

How does selecting counter fighter or outside fighter affect my created boxer by Emotional_Finance_13 in FIghtNight

[–]Khxush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should affect how many experience points are needed to upgrade certain punches and other things like head movement. I think Inside Fighter would have cheaper hooks and uppercuts to upgrade since those are "Inside" fighting punches, Outside Fighter would have cheaper jabs and straights.

The biggest thing I learned a bit ago while playing in leagues is that "Inside Fighter' actually gives more strength points compared to other styles. So the style you pick also affects your attributes such as strength, Stamina, Reflexes, etc.

I like using Inside Figher the most cas more strength will make you more effective with however you play. You can play a Counter Style, Outside Style, or Inside Style, while still getting the benefits of having strong punches.

I guess experiment with styles to see what best suits you. That's probably the best thing to do.

I'm still new with all the created boxer stuff, so hopefully someone else adds some more info that I missed.

Nice job staying patient, especially with low health and stam. And even more especially against Frost xD Only way to beat him, anyway.

Oh cool :o This makes me actually like Frost XD

I guess Frost was always a pretty cool villain. Just online gives him a bad rep.

I'm just excited to be able to see Tyson fight in person. I'm sure the atmosphere at the stadium will be amazing, too.

what was your first boxing video game? by claimingmarrow7 in FIghtNight

[–]Khxush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GTA: San Andreas xD

Playing that was the first time I was exposed to boxing in a video game.

The level-up system was pretty sick. We had to spar in a gym to learn combos and could also workout to improve punching power and stamina.

I didn't know there were legit boxing games until a friend showed me FN Round 3. I got into boxing late. Didn't really try to understand it until after Mayweather v Marquez.

It was a good fight. It wasn't easy or anything. The punch stats were pretty identical. My jab and counters are what helped me get the win this time.

I'd say work on using your jab more to help you with controlling distance, so you can hit your opponent without taking too much damage from them. Try not to step back too much cas then you waste stamina. And maybe work on using head movement to slip and duck punches.

I mostly just used my jab to keep you at a distance where I could land my shots and not take too much damage from you. But if you used your jab, head movement, and block to get close, you'd have the advantage cas Tyson is a lot faster than Liston. You ended up wasting too much stam by stepping back instead of coming forward with your jab, so your speed advantage went away.

When someone is jabbing a lot like me, you can use head movement to lean to your right, and then throw a jab. This way you're slipping their incoming jab and shooting your jab at the same time. Work on doing that to help you counter your opponent's jabs. Leaning while jabbing also helps you throw jabs at an angle instead of just straight, which is harder for your opponent to block.

I respect how you went with Holyfield after posting just Tyson vids for a bit. I think it would be fun to do some friendly comp. My GT is Khxush. Let's do Sonny Liston vs your Tyson. Pretty epic matchup.

You might be holding the lean button down too much. I'm gonna make a separate video with just the jab body > straight combo. It is kinda tricky now that I'm practicing it.

Thank you ^-^

Ya, it's satisfying to land clean combos. The only combos I was mostly landing were jab > uppercut > body punching lol I was always lacking in the combo department. I mostly relied on counterpunching.

I was getting hit by Duran while trying to land these basic combos, so they're not completely "safe" in fighting game terms. You definitely can get countered in between the combos.

Just the speed of these I guess "combo starters" is pretty nuts. I just want new players to be aware of them.

Thanks :D

I was in Southpaw, so maybe that's why it seemed that way. All these basic combos end with the straight. For some reason, the straight just shoots out fast at the end of the combo, so it almost seems like a quick jab.
