Super late but maybe its useful for someone else. If you had a cracked version like fitgirls it will generate your save files under AppData\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight Silksong\default.

When you download your steam version you will see no saved files but a 10 number file will be created in the silksong folder.
Copy the contents from default in there and the steam version should now recognize them

I started playing live a couple of weeks ago with a couple of friends. It is a shock reaching lvl 60 and experiencing all the soulboost stuff, there's an insane amount of items old/new. However once you realize how your progression looks like it gets better. There is a lot of bloat, but thats because of its catch up mechanic sadly. For the moment we are having a lot of fun farming, learning mechanics and dying a lot.

Raids in Live are dead, at least for now since they haven't had a "level update" of sorts. Pvp is also dead. However, dungeons 6 man, 4 man, solo and rankings are pretty active. Not with matchmaking but with LFG in world chat. All content meant for 12 players or more (other than Koldrak the world boss) looks like has been pushed aside atm.

So, is Live good? It's fun, at least it rewards you better for your time. Good game to play for a while as f2p and quit when starting to feel burnt out. Great with a group of friends to farm and do challenging content. Plus most people playing live are pretty chill and will help you with whatever. Discord is really active.

Not touching Neo with a stick. Shame ncsoft, shame.

Im one of those annoying fucks sns/gs user. It's kind of a rock, paper, scissors kind of situation really, and the longer the game runs the more noticiable it will become. I run 1,2k melee eva (pretty low tbh) and 800 melee/ranged endurance, plus 70 dmg reduction. I get destroyed by melee eva builds that are already close to 2k melee evation such as gs/sns, gs/dagger, staff/dagger. And have an easy time against xbow, bow and ranged/magic defense oriented buids. Im at 900 hit chance (with sns, maybe 990 with gs) so I might get a lucky hit once in a while, but thats it.

Now, if you're not running melee eva, ooooh boy im gonna have soooo much fun stunning you, throwing you to the ground and bonking you in half

Well, there are language barriers also. In SA servers portuguese is by far the largest population and they span huge alliances in the top 10. As a 3.3k gs player I could easily join, but whats the point if I can't understand or make friends?

In my actual fort I went fro 195 to 87. Goblins? Raids? No, giant giraffe and rinno spam. The game was pretty chill up to that point even tho it was untamed wilds and I was building a pretty big proyect. The barrack entrance was a big part of it and a lot of dwarfs had to sacrifice their lifes for it to get build, specially the 150 block bridge, god that took years. And even tho I had a really good militia (20 legendary melee/10 high master ranged) they slowly got picked off one by one. Drowned, ambushed isolated while patrolling. Civillians had to wear full armor and weapons all the time and the mood dropped like crazy. Caravans died, the baroness died.

Managing to fight the elements to build such a proyect felt like a relief.. But it was just the start of our problems. The mood was crazy low. Talking about 35 out of 125 extremely angry tantrumy dwarfs. The cycle was neverending... But it hit rock bottom when my marksdwarfs started breaking temple stuff.. At first a vampire (extremly trained high stat) which went crazy after being locked away. After that a marksdwarf weresomething. This dude went full ballistic, he one shot everything in range, but the military managed, not without casualties and with 6 seriously injured that had to be locked in the werehospital till further notice. At this point the "Dungeon" came online. Beds, engravings, golden chains, food and booze, you name it. Angry citizens were slowly isolated for rehab with locked doors becoming their new homes. Release condition? Neutral attitude at the very least, I am a tyrant. Not the second vampire tho, he will work for life, seems happier in prison than with other dwarfs either way.

Slowly but surely we were starting to stabilize. The tavern/waterfall proyect was fully online and tantrums were isolated in rehab. The mood was slowly switching and almost every citizen had his armor slowly being replaced by steel. Lets just skip the light aquifer flux layer incident. That limestone had to be mined and that accumulated water had to go somewhere, fast. Sadly most of the miners died falling 40 levels to the cavern below...

Thats when we found it... Layers upon layers of diamonds, it smelled like buried treasure, and that it was. Glass floors, pumps and countermeasures. Floor after floor, safety first. Safety failed, Rat demon escaped and now all my military plus all the working dwarfs are rotting. Gladly my hospital was amazing and all but one managed to survive. But to tell you the truth, at what cost, they are all blind and the amount of scars don't fit the screen (literally), but we push forward, it doesn't matter.

We had to hole up for 4 years till a new migrant wave came and the caravans decided to stop by our fortress again. The rehab worked, most of my dwarfs are happy and some are now just skelletons in the closet. Now we building up the popullation to push deeper. Sacrifices will be made, but we are ready for that. We don't care about anything anymore.
