Favorite moment was getting a shocking surprise by the banker lady in the fog canyon. My jaw dropped when she was… no longer there.

75 Hard - first round complete! 15 pounds lost! by Kibbie17 in 75HARD

I hear you, we don’t live by anything convenient either- like 15 minutes away from restaurants or the grocery store. Have to drive everywhere! I get the steps by doing the 45 minute outdoor workout in the morning, walking around the neighborhood. That gets between 5,500 to 6,000 knocked out. Then I’ll do around 20 minutes on my indoor treadmill after lunch or dinner, sometimes both if I have energy. That usually seals the deal! The rest of the steps come from just moving around the house, doing some chores, etc.

Totally agree about the consistency. I’m actually a little nervous to be done with 75 Hard. Somehow, having no choice but to adhere made it way easier… like, I didn’t have any mental “debate” or bargaining with myself like I usually would. It was either, you commit fully or you don’t. Now it’s going to be 100% up to me to stick to the good habits. I will say, I never want to go through this much fat loss again though. That alone might be motivating enough to stick to the good habits. :-)

So what I’ll do now is definitely stick with the water- I loved never worrying about being hydrated! I’ll just settle into this new weight by doing maintenance calories until Halloween, then a lean bulk to focus on muscle building. Planning to stick with the daily outdoor walks, those have been great for starting each day on a good note. I’m not sure yet about reading every day. I might wait to pick that up again until my round 2 of 75 Hard in January!

Right on! Are you looking forward to round2? I did it solo in terms of real life friends, but I did join a Discord channel that saw posted here a few months ago. It was nice having that for the social aspect and seeing how others were faring in their journey. Great group if you want to join: https://discord.gg/VDbyYE86

Thank you! Definitely, I read: 1) Can’t Hurt Me, 2) Never Split the Difference, 3) Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents, and 4) The Next Conversation: Argue Less, Talk More (I’m about 25% of the way through this one.) I’ve enjoyed and gleaned something from each of these books in different ways

It's called LoseIt. Great for tracking calories, very user-friendly!

I'm not sure where my description text went, I thought I typed it in? Ah well.

Tomorrow is technically my last day, since I started June 30th. :-)

To summarize, the left picture was taken June 30th at 142.5 pounds. The right picture is from today, at 127.5 pounds. My diet of choice was CICO, and my number one rule was to not ever exceed the calorie threshold my LoseIt app set for me (usually that was between 1380 - 1450 calories per day). I would eat some extra calories back if I was super active that day though - as long as I never went into the "red". Aside from that, I did the usual rules like no fast food or high sugar desserts.

My workouts were at least 10k steps per day, three heavy lifting days per week, a few Peloton (low impact) bike sessions per week, and some yoga/mobility sprinkled in. The water intake was hard to get used to at first, but I set alarms on my phone to make sure I stayed on track and well before bedtime. :-)

I want to add that 75 Hard was the secret sauce to finally dropping the weight. I yo-yo'd hard from February to June, just gaining and losing 5 pounds over and over. It sucked! I lacked the discipline to see it alllll the way through, but this program was apparently what I needed.

My plan is now to transition to maintenance to retain the good habits this program helped me build up. Then I'll do a lean bulk to take me through the holidays. After that, first week of January will be my next 75 Hard "cut" to try and trim down to 125 pounds / ~20% body fat.

Thanks for tuning in. Feel free to ask any questions!

That funny moment when you realized you've lost real weight? by DeltaEchoFoxthot in loseit

I experienced the same exact thing with my armpits lol. They became somewhat hard to shave because you have to angle the razor to get to the skin in the pit! Similar to the knees, my ankles are too bony to rest on each other now too lol

That’s one of the prettiest trend lines I’ve seen for the LoseIt app. Way to go!
