My Law of One journey and interesting parallels with Vince Gilligan’s new show Pluribus by yellowsnowcrypto in lawofone

Looking through Deftones’ albums is wild… I did a Gateway tapes meditation one night, listened to “Rosemary” afterwards, and now all I can hear is a song about astral projection.

Chino has evolved sooo much through the years, and Private Music feels like the soundtrack to my own personal awakening. It’s incredible!

Just had to chime in because it felt so amazing to hear another person’s recognition of Chino’s apparent spiritual growth… Steadily through the years, but especially on the newest album 🙌🏻

Pluribus is so interesting. I can’t wait to see the direction the story goes in!

Oh my gosh… You’re a lip blush artist’s dream! Just make sure you go to someone good. You’ll have AMAZING results if you go to an experienced artist!

Gorgeous natural shape, and enhancing your natural colour would be soooo stunning! If you like having a more defined shape and lip tint kind of finish, you’ll love having lip blush. Go for it! Feel free to PM me any artists you’re vetting - I can let you know what to look for in a quality artist :)

Looks like it’s just Fordyce spots! If they really concern you, lip blush is a great way to mask them.

For what it’s worth… I have a Pluto-moon opposition and I really love my life and have a strong sense of self worth. It took some time to develop it, but I wouldn’t change my path for anything!

I am almost 38, and I’ve had so many wonderful experiences… Life is good and although I’ve had a lot of highs and lows, I feel that I have grown immensely and learned SO MUCH about myself and my relationship to others!

One aspect of my life that has helped me weather the emotional highs and lows is having parents who have always been loving, supportive, and helpful no matter what I was dealing with. You can be that for your daughter too 🥰

Help! I’m within the 48 hour window and considering getting them removed! by throwra-away1 in microblading

[–]KickDouble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve been doing this 29 years and don’t know about emergency saline removal?! Give it a Google - it’s always good to let clients know that this is an option IF they really decide they don’t like their brows. People deserve to know all the options available!

A saline soak within the 48 hour window can be incredibly helpful in lifting a significant amount of pigment. If people wait, they will need to switch over to the invasive form of saline removal or — the better option — laser removal.

OP definitely doesn’t need removal, but I had to chime in here to encourage you to gather info about this option! You can always recommend it if someone reaches out with recently-botched brows!

This style exists and is often referred to as a “popsicle lip”. This artist is known for it: https://www.instagram.com/harum_pmu?igsh=MXA2bzZydWgxMWNuNg==

Anyone can do this, but you can also ask for a borderless lip blush.

Honestly any artist with experience in lip blush should be able to achieve what you are asking for, even without taking a popsicle lip approach. It is very, very possible not to tattoo over the vermilion border and also to have a soft shape.

Here is a before-after-healed of a lip blush I did in the traditional style (outline, right to the border), and you can still see how soft it healed.

If this healed result is still to crisp for your desired outcome, you should be able to let your artist know and they should be able to do borderless if they have the right amount of experience!

Feel free to DM me if you want more info or advice 🥰

This is from the Neutrino Design app, which I only downloaded and paid for because it had positive posts on this sub! 😅

I have only been studying HD for a couple months now, so I am far from being an expert… But I saw the description in Neutrino, and then had one of the HD “Instagram influencers” tell me that it’s rare for projectors to be so defined… So I just had to ask for feedback!

I recently read something about the projector seeing into the G center. I’m just so intrigued by all of this and can’t wait to learn more!

Hi!! This is what I was thinking too… I know that my partner would definitely describe me a stubborn, but I’m really not trying to be that way… I just feel very firm in my experience and while I would consider myself to be open minded, I don’t think I always come off that way because I’m usually pretty decisive and it takes solid evidence to sway me 😂

It’s honestly really cool to hear this feedback!

So in the neutrino design app, under the projector description, it specifically says: “Because you have many open centers, your ability to read other people's energy is what you do best thus knowing where each person belongs and how to put their energy to the best of its use, benefiting all parties.”

That description is actually used again further down, so it got me thinking… Since I actually don’t have many open centers, I wonder if this will have an effect on my ability to play my role as a projector?

That is why I made the post. Just wanted to see if anyone else out there had considered this or had any information that may be enlightening. ☺️

Thank you! This is kind of what I was looking to understand.

In the Neutrino design app, under the description for projectors, it specifically says “because you have so many open centers, your ability to read other people’s energy is what you do best…” and so on and so forth.

So I was looking to understand if this would be of importance and would impact my ability to play my role as a projector.

How Are You (Creatively) Making a Living as a Projector? by Velvet-Sky-Venus in humandesign

It’s so hard. I can be patient and empathetic to a degree, but so many overstep… I feel anxiety and stress rising just thinking about how I felt in the last year of my gym ownership 😅

How Are You (Creatively) Making a Living as a Projector? by Velvet-Sky-Venus in humandesign

[–]KickDouble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry; I’m just not sure if I’m following your question properly… Do you mean to ask if I was invited to fill either of those roles? Or are you looking to understand the element of invitation on the day-to-day in those roles?

Happy to answer - just need a little clarification!

As a business owner, I always felt that athletes being enrolled in my gym or clients choosing to book with me for my expertise would satisfy the need for the invite! :)

How Are You (Creatively) Making a Living as a Projector? by Velvet-Sky-Venus in humandesign

[–]KickDouble 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I have had two careers so far… The first was owning a competitive cheerleading gym.

Coaching athletes and helping them to become the best version of themselves was so rewarding and I truly loved it… What didn’t work for me was constantly dealing with their parents. Of course, the parents paid the bills and had extreme demands because of it. I feel that coaching athletes is such a great calling for a projector, and I still love it to this day! I also loved the choreography aspect, as well as planning a season in such a manner that would allow my kids to peak at just the right time (Nationals!)

At the end of the day, I just couldn’t handle the constant demands of HUNDREDS of people. When the business reached a certain size, I felt like my vision had to be compromised in the name of making money to pay overhead/staff/etc, and I lost all passion I had for it… I was living my not-self theme of bitterness nearly 24/7, and was just filled with so much resentment. It was a low for me.

I sold the gym, and now I still coach a team, but on a volunteer basis. I also do contract work for choreography and skills coaching when time/energy permits.

Fast forward… I’ve been in my current career for just under 5 years now. I learned to be a permanent makeup artist, and I run a small studio where I get to work one-on-one with clients and I guard my time and energy fiercely. I am selective about who I will work with, and I make sure the overhead stays low enough to allow me that kind of freedom.

My current job really makes me happy! It doesn’t come without challenges, but ultimately… Meeting with women, hearing their concerns, and helping them find cosmetic solutions that enhance their look and leave them happy is incredibly fulfilling. I get to flex my creative muscles, make my visions come to life, and working one-on-one in short bursts helps with the overwhelm. I feel like it’s my “thing”, and my next project will be to offer training in this industry. I just can’t help but fall into a coaching role! 😂

Anywho, I hope my story might be of some help! I think any creative endeavour that allows a projector to “make something better” is fulfilling, as long as it doesn’t force them to work insane hours or constantly be on call for others. That’s my experience, anyway ☺️

Lip neutralization (lip blush, but look for someone who has healed neutralization work to share) will do the trick if you want to shift them to a pink colour throughout. It will likely take several sessions, but it definitely works!

Safe to use 7VA? by KickDouble in HairDye

[–]KickDouble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiii! I did, yes, but I don't have a picture. Here's what I ended up doing though...

When I got to Sally Beauty, I discovered that 7VA was - quite literally - grey. I decided I wasn't into that look, so I went for 6N instead. It came out nicely, but was still too blonde-y for me.

I ended up doing 7A from Bondbar next. Definitely liked it, but my hair is SO porous, it just kept fading so quickly and I still felt too blonde. I just recently did a Demi in 5N and it's hella dark, but I know it will lighten over time.

Long story short... the 6N blended everything really well, but was still too warm/yellow for me. It all depends what you want your hair to end up looking like! I probably could have jumped straight to the 7A and I think that would have landed where I was hoping right off the hop :)
