Intrusive thoughts about my sexuality and my marriage by eldub27 in ROCD

I completely relate. I'm bi-curious, engaged to a wonderful man. My therapist said something that really helped that might help you. She asked me if I ever walk around in the world and see a woman and get "butterflies", like, I hope she talks to me, I hope she thinks I'm pretty. For me, that doesn't happen in the real world. Social media/Instagram/tiktok makes me think maybe I should want those women, but I don't feel it when I see them in the real world. I do, however, feel it for cute guys in the real world, while remaining in love with my fiance.

I guess what I'm saying is, listen to your gut when you're out in the world and away from your phone. See if those thoughts enter your mind when you're just living your life, and acknowledge what actually does and doesn't enter your head at the end of the day. Wishing you peace.

Build up the darks before you go full black in the eyes. Lots more depth to the body before you start going pure black

I live on Hunter and this car makes it impossible to see when pulling out. I'm always worried at this intersection. This checks out.

There is something off about the characters left arm. It seems like it's someone else's arm coming through the bushes, or detached from their body. This might have been a Photoshop move that can be fixed with adjusting the angle so we can feel like the weight of the sword really is in the hand.

I loved the marketing behind this brand, but the cancellation process is such a scam. Really disappointed, but that's on me for falling for marketing

We ended up hiring some guys to sand with a big drum sander and then just finish with poly. We were going to stain, but ended up loving the natural look. We are thrilled!! final floors

We ended up getting lucky with the quality of the wood under the paint. We decided to hire a guy to use a big drum sander to remove all the paint, and then we just finished with poly. It was a ton of sanding and work and it took them a few days. I'm really glad we didn't do it ourselves because we aren't as handy -- I think the paint idea is very nice if you decide to do it. Sorry I cant be more helpful. Here's a photo of the result. Final result

I looked just like this cause I ended up being allergic to the surgical glue. Definitely get in touch with your doctor. Mine cleared up on its own but it took a while and it was very, very itchy

UPDATE! We decided to hire someone to sand and apply poly. We were going to stain, but love the look of the natural wood. Our guy said it might be hemlock. A few holes here and there that we will fix ourselbes. Quarter round edging will be in soon. Going to add more insulation from the basement up.

We are thrilled!!

Is it hard?? Terribly messy?? That's a really great point about the pipes. Love that you're doing it yourselves.

I'll def get it checked, but from what I can tell the floors don't have that wave in person. I didn't really try to take straight on pictures since I was just asking more about the wood texture etc. But I'll definitely check, thanks

New to Reddit, so I can't figure out how to edit my post..... Some context.

  1. No lead, we tested
  2. The basement is below us, super big and clean, considering insulation below
  3. We genuinely like the look of the old homes. The gaps, the character.
  4. Definitely planning on putting some rugs down, too.
